Sunrise Donuts — Restaurant in Tahlequah

Follow up: So I have been calling ahead to see if they have any kolaches before driving over the last three times have been 9 am, 9:30, and 10 on the weekend. No kolaches. Today I asked if I could place an order for pickup and they told me it wouldn't be until the next day that they would be ready and that the owner was too busy to talk about a call in order. I may try again down the road but bye for now.

I've came here for years, just recently started coming more often. I've been about 6 times in the past 4 weeks, and only 2 of those times they have had ham and cheese kolaches in stock. They close at 12:30, all of these visits have been before 10:00. I don't mind paying their prices, even though they are more expensive than their competitor because I enjoy the food. But man what a bummer when I keep driving over here and they're not making one of their best items for the remaining 3 hours they are open. I would suggest calling before wasting a trip. Disappointing. Bought 12 donuts.. figured I would get a box, nope all smashed together in tiny bags, yes smashed, also given this was an assortment not all the same kind of donut. These were not for me so I couldn’t even serve them because they were literally smashed. Called and spoke to the “manager” couldn’t have cared less, it was probably him who did it, guessing by the attitude. His response Ah sorry bout that, is there anything else I can help you with. I love this place and that's why I am so disappointed this morning when I grabbed some Kolaches and a half dozen glazed and it all tasted like old soured cooking oil ended up throwing out 15$s worth of food!! It has been this way the last 2 times but I thought benefit of the doubt and I was wrong!!
