I came from out of state because I am a lifelong fan of the book Where the Red Fern Grows, and Tahlequah figures prominently in the story. Seeing this statue of the main characters, Billy and Old Dan and Little Ann, was so poignant to me. It’s a fantastic statue which brings to life when Billy acquired his puppies from the Tahlequah train station, put them in a sack and walked back barefoot many miles to his home in the Ozarks. So wonderful.

Clean and dog friendly small park. Dispite some reviews I have not seen any homless nor any trash. There is a pavilion/stage, batroom, benches, and a playground.

A very beautiful park. It's small but has everything you need! The grass is well maintained and perfect for picnics. There is a playground for children of all ages. There's also two covered areas, one with tables underneath and a pavilion type area. The trash is always took out and the bathrooms are clean. They decorate for Christmas and the lights are so beautiful! I have club meetings here as well as skate and hang out...

They have a fun playground that the kids love, and they host so many neat events here! Rather you want to hit the local farmers market on Saturday mornings, ice skate in the winter, or pop in for movies at the park summer evenings, there is something for everyone. They have a public restroom that is usually well maintained and a covered area for picnics. We always enjoy our time at...
