Not a safe space for the LGBTQIA+. We Couldn't get the straight white male bartenders to wait on us( trans friend and i) Waited at an empty bar for 15 min just for a female employee to come around the corner to finally take our order. On top of that they're stealing party themes from local dragqueens and the queer spaces. It's cool to be influenced but theft is wrong.
update to respond: 1st -The way to response to a bad review is "sorry for your negative experience, please come again so we can prove you wrong with excellent service next time." not brushing of the encounter. you'd don't have to prove anything to me because of what happened. my experience happened. Male bartenders pouring drinks for others at a not busy bar refused to acknowledge a trans friend and I... Period. That happened.
2nd- if you "checked the cameras" how do you know what day i was in there i didn't say and this happened about a week and a few days ago. a resent incident somewhere else reminded me i was mad enough about the situation to make the above review. there's no way you combed thru 2 weeks of footage to find "me" a photo less Gmail account. also any card i used wouldn't of had this name. so you couldn't have gone back to find that.
sorry, no one likes to hear this, but YOU'RE WRONG i know what a barback does and what that work consists of, and looks like and its not leaning on the bar pour quick shots for girls and then going back to ignoring the only other people standing at the bar.
(gosh why am i still going oh right cause there's that much wrong going on in the owners reply ) and as a previous manager of many years to a restaurant, and a current employee of the service industry, i don't recommend calling costumers "Crazy". not a good look on the company... saying you love all your guest then calling a guest crazy in one sentence is a little wild.
I hope this update finds you well and you find your way.
2nd update: I see Fire Bettys has edited there responses to take out the insults and to appear more professional and now are make accusations toward me trying to negate my experience with "you know some one at a different club so you're lying"... I had a negative experience there and left a review. they couldn't have checked the camera's, i didn't specify the day or time i was there from like 2 weeks ago. saying that does make them apear like they're trying tho but if they were realy trying to solve is and be allies to the lgbtqia+ community, again, the response should have been "sorry for your negative experience. we are working to correct that, please come again so next time we can prove you wrong with excellent service ." that's literally the only appropriate thing to say in response for a negative review. not calling the customer a liar, not lying about reviewing 2 weeks of camera footage, not insisting there experience didn't happen... simply "im sorry and we'll do better, please come back"
also not everyone leaves reviews the day of so apologies if me coming forward with my experience lined up with an event but i was un aware of the announcement of another pink pony party at Fire Bettys...oh... wait.. right right right... your not... gosh you don't even know what evens you...
Read moreI remember when they were building Fire Betty's. I was pretty intrigued by the concept of an arcade bar since I had never been to one. I walked through when they opened but didn't spend any time there until recently.
The concept of the bar is, well...it's an arcade. There are a lot of old school video games, a foosball table, air hockey, pinball machines, etc. You have to bring cash to get tokens then you can pretty much play to your heart's content.
At night this place gets pretty busy, so sometimes there's a wait for specific games. Still, playing video games has always been one of my favorite pastimes, so I had a pretty good time though I didn't get to play as many games as I wanted to.
I haven't had any of their drinks, but my friend told me a can of Bud Light was $5. Wow. That is super pricy. I can buy an entire six pack for $5. That's pretty expensive for a CAN of beer.
Pretty fun place when you're with your friends. Getting to see everyone's competitive sides come out is always funny and the crowd here isn't super sloppy like a college bar.
All in all, a pretty great bar experience....
Read moreMy friends and I got drinks at Fire Betty's after work but were given inhospitable service:
After one of my friends paid for his beer, he noticed that his credit card was not in the bill book and kindly asked the bartender if his credit card was still behind the counter. The bartender replied by gaslighting my friend; the bartender claimed that my friend was falsely accusing them of stealing his credit card. My other friends and I noticed that one of the bartenders picked up the credit card that fell on the floor behind the bar. All my friend wanted was an apology for the staff being so rude (and dropping his card) but INSTEAD of maintaining any professional conduct, they disrespectfully told him to leave instead. When my other friend stood up for him, that friend got kicked out as well!
This incident happened on February 4th Friday night and the bartender was a woman with long dirty-blonde hair. The Fire Betty's staff that night was embarrassing; my friends and I have never had problem frequenting here but after that night I'm sorry to say that this establishment has lost...
