So after being a loyal customer for over 5 years, I entrusted my families Christmas Eve dinner to La dolce casa this year because I could not make it home. So I called and prepaid on my credit card for a large pie and two sodas. My family received a lukewarm pizza and no sodas at all so I call and speak to a manager the following day regarding the issue and state how the pizza was lukewarm and my family had to eat their Christmas dinner with no drinks they offer to make the situation right by resending the order and the two sodas I asked if they could put sweet sauce on the pie. They said no problem. Needless to say, I received another cold pizza with one of the two sodas that I originally paid for and regular sauce not the sweet sauce I requested so I called back and asked to speak to Alfie "the owner of this establishment" he got on the phone and I started off by explaining to him how long I have been a loyal customer and that my family places a good size order at least three times a month from his establishment. I go on to explain to him about the debacle that started this Christmas Eve and then that the we are sorry for the poor service meal that they have offered was a bigger disaster than the first meal. He says to me that he was resending out the order with the right sodas. I thank him and sit with my family and wait for this order. Hopefully a hot pizza this time with the right sauce and the amount of soda to come because the owner Alfie stated to me he was resending it well to my amazement no food comes at all. So I went and tried to call and speak to Alfie again and ask him what had happened to the order. He was resending and I was told I had to deal with the worker who answered the phone. Not Alfie the owner. I find it terribly. Disheartening that an establishment who makes as much money as it does off of its community would take customer service and treat it so poorly. It's sad when an owner doesn't do what he says he's going to do to make up for a bad order and yet coddles the customer just to get off the phone. I never thought I would have such an experience from a place that me and my family have loved to order from for over 5 years now but I guess they're getting so busy that customer service has taken a back seat due to high call volumes. The food is amazing. The customer service has gone...

Read moreMy family and I ate here last night, many of us for the first time. We had a reservation since before Thanksgiving. The experience was overall disappointing, but hey, nice light display, right?
The restaurant was SLAMMED, which makes sense since it was right before Christmas. Even though we made a reservation well in advance, we quickly found out upon arrival that it didn’t mean anything. We arrived at 7:25 for a 7:30 reservation and were not sat until 8:05. When we arrived, we were told that many 7:00 reservations haven’t even been sat yet. We waited outside, and were moved inside to multiple different areas of the restaurant to be “out of the way.” When we finally got a table, we were not waited on until around 8:35, and even then it was by mistake. Another server happened to walk by and asked if we were okay, and she said she’d tried to figure out whose table we were. She came back and said our server was too busy and she’d be taking over as our server. Again, it was slammed, but even as it started to clear out, the service was still super slow. It didn’t seem like there was enough staff to accommodate the amount of people dining in the restaurant, and the place was certainly overbooked. It was clear that reservations were not prioritized and they wanted to pack as many people in there as possible. Aside from their main menu, we were given a “specials” menu where many pasta dishes were $2-$3 more than the original menu pricing for the same exact dish. Total cash grab.
The food was just okay. Not horrible, but not spectacular enough to make up for how the night was already going. There were two pasta dishes that seemed to be really overcooked, with burnt eggplant and separated sauces. We never received our soup as they ran out but no one told us until the checks came. We were bummed to the say the least since we were really excited to eat here.
It was very telling that at the end of the day making money was the restaurant’s only priority, not quality or the...
