Save A Lot — Local services in Tampa

I haven’t been to a Save A Lot in years and I’ll admit, I walked into Save A Lot with fairly low expectations. You know, grab a few cheap basics, maybe dodge a wobbly shopping cart or two, and get out. But to my complete disbelief, the meat section looked… good? The cuts were neat, fresh-looking, and not the usual mystery packs you sometimes brace yourself for. I actually paused and double-checked the sign — yep, still Save A Lot.

And the produce? I’m not saying Whole Foods should be worried, but it was oddly fresh. Like, actual crisp lettuce fresh. Not “sort through the pile and pray” fresh. Not sure who they’ve got on produce lately, but someone back there actually seems to care.

Now, the real curveball: the young manager. I’m not sure where they found this guy, but he’s a unicorn. Despite being the only worker in the store he was genuinely helpful, ridiculously upbeat, and somehow everywhere at once. Need help finding something? He’s already walking you to it. Look slightly confused for half a second? He’s got you. I half-expected him to offer life advice or a motivational speech before I checked out.

VERY RUDE CASHIERS AT THIS PLACE. THEY ACT LIKE THEY DONT WANNA BE THERE. Today I stoped at this store to get some groceries., when I was ready to check out, I went to the cashier trying to avoid the young guy of color who was at the other register because last time, he was very rude to me.
