Three stars for the decent ambiance, big screens, good wings and fries. This place has good potential due to open spacious environment with awesome sounds/speakers. But don’t expect good customer service from young college kids if you’re just looking to enjoy a few drinks and watch sports, save yourself some frustration and go elsewhere to another professional sport bars within minutes of there for better services. Bartenders were inattentive and would not acknowledge you. Please also always make sure they take your order and bill you correctly. We were there on a Sunday when the place was not even packed. When we brought up our concern the girl did not take accountable for not doing her job and ignoring her customers, instead treated us with attitude like we were giving her a hard time when we indeed just needed our bill corrected so we can sign and leave. We were literally staring at her flirting and taking shots with a male customer for over 10-15 min, she made eye contact with one of us and looked away to continue her conversations. I’ll say this was our first and unfortunately would be our last time there. There’re many other establishments within minutes of this place that we can go to have a good time and treated with respect by people who actually takes their job seriously. Thanks to management who got involved so we could get our bills and get out of there or else we would have to stand there like a fool for who knows how long trying to get someone’s attention just to pay....
Read moreAtmosphere was fine. I walked up to the bar to buy 1 drink and was charged for 2. When I pointed it out to the bar tender, she apologized and said to just come back later with the receipt and get the second one that I was charged for later. She told me her name was Gina for when I want to come back later and ask for her. Even though I didn’t want the second drink I said “that’s fine, but I want the second drink now” because there was no guarantee that she would remember the situation later. I waited for 15 minutes while she avoided eye contact with me, and didn’t make my second drink. I finally got her attention and she said Gina is on break and that she can’t do anything for me. The same person who said this to me was the person who I ordered from initially so she was completely lying to me. I got the attention of another bar tender who told me “Gina is on break”, but she made the second drink for me after some back and forth. Ultimately this experience makes me curious how many people are getting charged double for their drinks because of this scheme at the bar. This is a very dishonest practice and I’m very disgusted. Be careful and check your receipts closely if you choose...
Read moreCompared to the other bars on the street, Bar Hwrd is one of the good ones. It gets hard to get around when it's really packed, especially in the area in front of the DJ and large screen. The outside area is cute with a couple games (Connect Four and Jenga) and also includes heaters during the chilly season. There is also a mini-bar out there most of the time. This establishment used to be "Drynk" for those who may remember. They have valet on most Friday's and Saturday's ($5-$7 cash or you can pay online and it's a dollar extra for some reason) - I like parking here even if I am not going into Bar Hwrd because it is spacious and on the strip of the popular Soho Bars. The drinks are a bit stronger than the ones at nearby bars. There is usually a food truck connected to the establishment with some affordable, good food to grab quick. The side of fries is cheap and generous, just FYI. Also, for some reason, Bar Hwrd attracts...
