AN ABSOLUTE YES!!! If you are reading this review trying decide whether or not âLocal Mini Donut Companyâ is worth your time and your money let me spell out not only why itâs a MUST but also why youâll come back.
(1) The new owner Gabby is an AMAZING woman!. After I placed my order, she kindly asked if I was in a rush letting me know her fresh new batch was about to come out so if I wanted to experience them warm it would take a bit longer. Not to mention that she treated me to two other creations because she wanted me to have an even greater understanding of how she serves loveâŚin the shape of the most artful, spectacular looking (and tasting) donuts you can find anywhere. Words wonât do justice to the delight both my eyes and mouth experienced. Youâve got to see and taste for yourself.
(2) The cashier Yeeselly couldnât be nicer. She shared with me her favorites as I struggled to decide and honestly treated me like family. Skillfully informed of their product and genuinely pleasant and aiming to please, she really redefined what service with a smile looks and feels like.
(3) Where the true value comes in is what you donât see as Gabby LOVES her community and as a former hospital employee, she has simply changed her environment to continue serving. She works with the unhoused, has created special events celebrating pride, hosts a space where those with special needs are welcome and the list goes on and on. It was of no surprise when I saw her a few moments later giving the lay of the land to a family new to the area. Helping others is in her DNA so I am gonna help her right back and so can you.
The thing isâŚthis business has a dream, to expand, to serve more and to do more good on a larger scale and I am totally on board. You can bet Iâll be back and spreading the word because when you come across a gem like this you just canât keep it to yourself. If you are anywhere near this fabulous food truck than run, yes literally RUN, donât walk and get...
Read moreThe doughnuts were incredibly tasty! A simple Sunday outing with my toddler to grab doughnuts in our new neighborhood couldnât have been a more pleasurable experience for us. Before we left the house he was expressing to me he wanted a âblue doughnutâ, I knew he didnât mean blueberry, but heâs never had a BLUE doughnut, like where does one get a blue doughnut anyways- đ , so I told him he may have to get a pink one, maybe they had strawberry frosted or one with fruity pebbles. The woman working happily greeted us, and offered my son a sticker, and guess what- it was a freaking blue frosted doughnut! She overheard our convo about how she must have read his mind, etc etc, so she offered to make him a special custom blue doughnut (vanilla frosted with bright royal blue sprinkles that was off the menu). Let me tell you- it made his day, it made my day, it really was so considerate and thoughtful of her to do that, and I couldnât be more thankful! The young woman also did something really nice for us- treating us to a Barbie inspired doughnut! We canât wait to come back- the quality of customer service and food is outstanding, DOUGHNOT walk, run to this little...
Read moreThe Local Mini Donut Co can be found in downtown Tampa and has a designated parking area for their food truck. During my visit to the establishment, I was warmly welcomed by two friendly women who greeted me with smiles and expressed their appreciation for my visit. After discussing the donut options, we discovered that the most popular flavors were Maple Bacon and Cookies n Cream. However, as I do not eat bacon, I opted to try different flavors and ordered Cannoli and Apple Pie donuts instead. While waiting for my donuts to be prepared, I perused the menu and ultimately decided on a 12 oz Hot Dirty Chai Latte. Once my donuts were ready, I placed my order for the latte. I was impressed with the beautifully packaged presentation of the donuts. I received my order for a Dirty Chai Latte shortly after. The beverage was served hot and just what I was craving. It was a truly delicious Chai Latte. I took my donut box to go because I wanted to share the donuts with my wife. Both my wife and I loved the donuts, especially the...
