An Unforgettable Dining Experience at Vizcaya – Authentic Spanish Excellence in Tampa
After a disappointing experience at a large restaurant chain, our group of 15 was lucky to find Vizcaya! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with open arms—something you only find in places where hospitality is truly part of the culture.
The food was nothing short of exceptional. Every dish captured the rich, bold flavors of Spain with impressive authenticity—from the perfectly seasoned tapas to the beautifully prepared paella. It's clear that Vizcaya stays true to its Spanish roots while showcasing the very best of local Tampa charm.
But what truly elevated our experience was the service—especially our server, Linda. She was warm, attentive, and handled our large group with ease and grace. Linda went above and beyond to make us feel at home, and her knowledge of the menu and genuine care did not go unnoticed. She is a true asset to Vizcaya and played a huge role in turning our evening into a memorable celebration of food and community.
Vizcaya deserves every bit of recognition for its authenticity, quality, and heart. We are proud to support this outstanding local business and will absolutely be back.

Read moreOlé! Super delicioso alert! Everything just works here. From the moment you walk in to leaving it’s a little slice of Spain. In a converted gas station. Super nice people take very good care of you. Maybe start with a pitcher of sangria! Yum. And IMO tapas are the way to go here. Not small servings either. The Pate de la casa was a duck liver joy with crispy toasts. The Caracoles (escargot) con chorizo came bubbly hot from the kitchen, with a comforting flavor combo that was simply divine. Next, they split an order of the Cream of wild mushroom and truffle soup for us. And although a bit over seasoned for me, it didn’t stop from wanting to lick the bowl. And then the Mollejas de ternera (veal sweetbreads) was a favorite, if picking only one. Serrano ham, mushrooms and piquillo peppers were served with yet another more delicioso sauce. At this point we had to slam on the brakes, skip entrees and go directly to dessert! We opted for the Basque crustless burnt cheesecake. Oooahhh. Served with fresh whipped cream and sliced strawberry. Creamy and simply perfecto! This restaurant is a no brainer. (Would go earlier than later as you might have to wait - everything is fresh...
Read moreThe food was great! They brought out some bread with butter which was warm and soft and chewy. We then ordered the chorizo al vino de Jerez (forgot to take a picture) and it was phenomenal. The sauce it comes in was addicting and creamy and rich and we had to ask for extra bread because we just couldn’t let that sauce go to waste. I had the zarzuela de mariscos and I was happy to see how generous they were with the seafood. The scallops were my favorite they were sweet and tender. My sister in law had the empanadas and although I didn’t taste them they looked perfectly golden and crispy and were full of meat. My husband had the paella campesina which had plenty of chicken and chorizo in the rice. Super super delicious. I def recommend this restaurant but you should make a reservation because we had to sit outside and it rained :( that was totally my fault though I didn’t think I had to make one. The inside of the restaurant looked cozy and very cute. I can’t wait to go back and try...
