This place is a diamond! Nothing less. I've lived in the south most of my life and have had so many homemade pies of all sorts. I have never tasted a better lemon meringue in my life! First of all, the place is comfortable and inviting. I instantly felt, not at home, but at the home I WISH I had had. The displays are beautiful and the pies and other treats instantly scream, "made with love"! Service was friendly, but the decision making process staring at all the goodness, was extremely difficult. I was helped along in my journey by the owner. I had to get a couple different things Like I said the meringue pie was out of this world but the cherry pie was also made with fresh ingredients and perfectly sweet for my taste buds, obviously not as sweet and rich as the meringue, nor should it be. The crust on both was perfect for the consistency of the pies they served. They were both layered, and flaky enough to give my fork trouble, as it should be so grab a knife. Just pop in here Thursday-Saturday from noon-9pm and grab something, anything. You'll be so glad you did. A Tampa gem, no doubt. I dont know anyone affiliated with the place, this is my honest review. And I will be back. I read the person who gave this place a 3 star review and they're trippin! They admitted the place was dope but apparently they couldn't fully appreciate what a masterpiece these pies are. Talking about the music was "too low"? What'd they expect in grandmas kitchen. Smh....
Read moreThe cupcakes are DIVINE! The Red Velvet cupcake with sneaky chocolate ganache on the inside was delectable!! Much better than even the famous "Sprinkles" cupcake place in Vegas, this was fabulous! They hosted the latte art competition that my friend judged, it was packed! Free beer & wine, free BBQ, photo booth, local artist art for sale, it was super cool!
The only bummer is parking... seriously annoying that you HAVE to do valet parking through the hotel and it is $5 after a certain time in the evenings, but $15 for later than that or overnight or something. All the street parking in the area that we could see was all limited to 5 minutes. I wouldn't mind going back for more of their baked goods though, holy cow, those were tasty! Everyone working there was more than politely kind, and they put on individual gloves to serve each person's cupcakes. Nice! I am living that germaphobe life, so I was into that!
Super cute decor, like rustic elegance, and seriously looked like my pinterest boards threw up all over here, it was amazing. Can they do my apartment? We shall be back when in the area! Gotta figure out a better parking...
Read morei Have been wanting to try this place for a while,I should have left it at that , well I went yesterday to get a few desserts for a friend's dinner party.Upon entering the smell, the sad display cases And no presence of an employee,my first inclination was to leave, but alas an unenthusiastic employee appereared. i approched the counter to my 3 cake choices,i chose a slice of a peach cake a blueberry cake and a banana handpie type delite .well dessert time came and the cakes were dry dry dry oh did i mention they were dry,and tasteless, the icing was bleh ,sweetened crisco would have been more enjoyable.while the banana thing had an enjoyable cream the pastry was that of a crust of shortening and flour that was tasteless beyond belief.all these rave reviews leads me to believe they were paid actors or friends and relatives of owner.or at one time this place was edible.for now i reccommend Walmart bakery or a tastykake from Wawa would be a much better choice.as the three of us all had a small taste and the three "desserts?" went in the garbage.WHAT A WASTE OF $23.00 besides having no sweets after our amazing...
