I'll start by saying the customer service is GREAT! Feels like family! This was my fist visit and I have to mention some remarks I overheard from a couple customers while waiting for our orders. One was complaining about the prices being too high and how they could get a 5lb bag of pork chops for what they were paying for one meal. I was disappointed with these "sistas" and found their comments to be so disrespectful. If you can do better...then go cook at home! Clearly they do not understand the amount of time and love that goes into cooking with SOUL! Anyway, now that I got that off my chest let me get into rating my meal. I had the baked turkey wings w/rice, collard greens, mac-n-cheese, green beans, and sweet potato cornbread muffin. Portions are very generous! Turkey wings and green beans were seasoned to perfection and delicious. The sweet potato corn muffin was moist and tasted amazing. I wasn't a fan of the collards or the mac-n-cheese. The mac-n-cheese although seasoned very well was oily(buttery?) and not creamy...I think with the amount of butter used the sauce broke and made it kind of dry. I can't put my finger on what was off about the collards, but I will revisit to try other selections...

Over priced and a rip off. I ordered 3 to go standard meals(oxtails, baked chicken, turkey wing) with 2 drinks. It came to about $63.00. I was charged $80.00 on my credit and they gave themselves 18% tip. Waited 30 mins for 3 oxtail bones with barely meat on them, 1 turkey wing not with the tip on it or whole ring and not to mention over seasoned food. This place is a joke and it’s bad they have to rip off a 1st time supporter. I will never support any businesses that steals from their customers and people like them won’t prosper. If you do decide to support this establishment I recommend to not give them your credit card and to pay cash and make sure you are checking behind what they are charging you. To be honest the food that they serve in a small quantity is not worth it. And also the seasoning if you have high blood pressure definitely don’t go here because they empty salt all of their food. Here’s what I had: 🍽️ Fried pork chop 🍚 Yellow rice 🥬 Cabbage 🧀 Mac & cheese 🍠 Candy yams 🍓 Strawberry crunch cake (don’t play!) 🧃 Grape Kool-Aid to wash it all down 🙌🏾
Everything was seasoned right, the portions were heavy, and the vibes felt like home. If you’re in the area touring homes or just hungry for some good southern cookin’, this is a must-stop. 💯
