Every now and then, you stumble on a place that totally exceeds expectations—and yesterday, Mama’s Kitchen did just that. I popped in for lunch and decided to try their bacon cheeseburger with fries, and I’m not exaggerating when I say it was one of the best burgers I’ve ever had.
This wasn’t just any burger—it came fully loaded with all the fixings: crisp lettuce, juicy tomato slices, fresh-cut onions, and a perfectly toasted bun that held it all together. They even served it with a side of mayo for that extra creamy kick, which paired perfectly with every bite. The bacon was smoky and crisp, the cheese melted beautifully, and the patty itself? Phenomenal. So juicy and flavorful, I honestly would’ve believed you if you told me Gordon Ramsay himself was back there on the grill.
The fries were just as impressive—crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and seasoned just right. Every piece of the meal felt thoughtful and well-prepared.
And the price? Only $12.95. For a meal this delicious and this filling, that’s a steal. In fact, the portions were so generous I even had leftovers to take home.
Whether you’re looking for a spot to sit down and enjoy a solid meal or just want a quick bite that actually delivers, Mama’s Kitchen is absolutely worth the visit. Great food, generous portions, and prices that make you do a double take—in the best...
Read moreIf you cross Mamas Kitchen threshold you instantly become family. I've done it 21 years ago, and I keep coming back whenever my modest budget permits. You're greeted with "sit wherever you like", which gives you freedom of choice. You can take a booth even if you're alone! No kidding! The servings are generous, and made to perfectly mimic homemade. It's delicious and comforting, not gourmet. And the prices are just and fair. The service is honest to goodness friendly and home-like, the waitresses memorize your preferences from the first time (like mom knew what you liked), they never push "the specials" unless they're asked about them. We joke with each other, we talk tti strangers, we'r sing happy birthday, and we laugh at the many tongue-in-cheek signs on the wall. My favorite is the self deprecating coffee sign that goes more or less like this: "Our coffee is so good, that even we drink it. On occasion..." 😂 If you're looking for a fancy place, there might be a few down the road. But if you're looking forward to go back in time, go home, or simply need some comfort food, 'come on in! Sit...
