Subway — Restaurant in Tampa

Roast beef is back...so Subway club is back. Still better bread and veggies than competitors, but meat is not quite as good.

Got to say Subway is different. Store remodeled to austere...not an improvement. Eliminated pizza. Bread, usually a highlight, was tough and chewy...not good. 3 servers in store and it took 8 minutes to get to me. 1st spoke English so poorly I had difficulty understanding. Girl from back came out and fixed sandwich. Except for bread, the sandwich was excellent. Cookies too were excellent. Then went to get my tea, and no longer brewed tea, just yucky raspberry fountain tea...really not good. Jersey Mike's for $2 more have better meat, tea, and service. But I will miss the cookies.

Why have an ear splitting alarm on the oven. Every 5-10 minutes. Is someone at Subway trying to run...

Went here x3 only to give them a 2nd & 3rd chance... However, all 3 strikes out!! I asked for a sandwich that didn't have any meats... was priced more than a meated sandwich... So I told them, build me a sandwich that has the meat and give the military people behind me my portion as I can't eat it! Sir, we can't do that... Everyone in line was looking at each other as if we just were hit by headlights in the dark... So I then said, please put that meat on the side in a wrapped paper so I can give it to someone who can eat it. Great! I thought we came to a solution and all was well.... Now it's time to pay... Then charged me for a veggie sub!!!! Not one of the deals ... I said I got a meated sub with the meats on the side... Omg!! Every time I went there this happened... NEVER AGAIN!!!!!! Haven't had a subway sandwich...

As a former employee, I must warn you to stay away from this place!!! First off, customers are cheated because it is store policy to use less meat and vegetables than you're supposed to (according to subway standards). Second, If you're military or a student and ask for a discount, they will charge you for every single item before they apply the discount. This means that if you make something a meal you wont pay meal prices but individual item full prices before the discount is applied so your 10% discount turns into a no discount. Lastly, the employees don't clean the store or what they use to handle food properly. It made me sick working there watching employees refuse to clean everything properly and cheat customers. If you really want subway I'd suggest driving the extra mile for a more decent store of go...
