On 4/25/2023, I completed a mobile order on the McDonald's mobile app. I didn't realize that I completed the order for the wrong location. The location I placed the order for is 5101 Pointe of Tampa Way, Tampa, FL 33647. I call the restaurant and they advised I would have to go to the restaurant in order to have a refund issued. I advised them I could not go to the restaurant because I had to work traffic duty for an event with my police department all day. I worked my day and at the end of my work day I went back on the McDonald's app to see if I could pull up my order and there was a message at the top of the app when I opened it that read, "Your order was cancelled. Sorry, we had to cancel your order and you'll be refunded soon. Review your bag for details. However, by 4/28/2023 I had not received my refund. I emailed the McDonald's corporation and they sent a response that refunds may take from 2-7 days. I replied on 5/10/2023 advising I had not gotten my refund. I received no response. I sent another email on 6/7/2023 and advised I had not gotten my refund from April. They responded with a message that said it could take 5-15 days. I replied that same day advising that it has been well past the 15 day mark and still no refund. I have not had a response since then. I would like a refund on the food that I was never able to receive. I sent a complaint through the Better Business Bureau and they couldn't even get a response from them. I will never be visiting this location ever again. I paid for food that I never received and they refuse to give me a refund. If you're using the app to order make sure you are ordering from the correct location. What a nightmare!!! Oh and its now 7/17/2023 and still no refund or response...

I recently experienced subpar service at the McDonald's location I frequent, specifically with the employee handling drive-thru orders. Unfortunately, this is the second instance this week where my order was inaccurately processed. The first time, I chose to overlook the mistake. However, on this occasion, I was overcharged, prompting me to request to speak with a manager upon collecting my order.
The manager, a courteous black woman, addressed the issue professionally, explaining the discrepancy. It was discovered that the employee had incorrectly processed my order as meals instead of individual items. While the manager handled the situation well, the employee in question displayed unprofessional behavior by laughing at the mistake as the manager walked away. This lack of professionalism is concerning and contributes to the negative perception of McDonald's service.
To improve the customer experience at this location, I suggest providing additional training to staff on order accuracy and professional conduct. Ensuring that employees understand the importance of maintaining a respectful demeanor, even in challenging situations, would be beneficial. Manager seemed to lack any type of social skills! Employee running register needed everything repeated (and not because of the masks!) and still managed to get wrong. Told employee before we left counter we were missing an item. That was after saying excuse me 7 times and being ignored. Then instead of going right to mgr ( who assembled the order) and telling her, she proceeded to help another customer that walked to counter with a complaint instead of helping us! The mgr never said anything to us about missing the sandwich and such. Just walked over looked in bin, picked up the sandwich she forgot, put in bag, handed off to us as she was being rude to other customer with complaint. Daughters coffee had hardly any caramel in it and way too much creamer! Came to find out the employee put extra cream on receipt that she never asked for. She didn't want me to take it back in because of how we and last customer was treated. Horrible! Manager needs to go back for more training and so does employee!
