Starbucks — Restaurant in Tampa

Starbucks used to pride itself on being the “3rd place” but this brand new location is anything but. You don’t get a bigger Starbucks fanboi than me, been at Starbucks just about every day for over 25 years, collect Starbucks memorabilia and so on. But this new spot has me thinking it’s really time to support local. It’s SO uncomfortable. They keep it cold like a meat locker, play loud annoying uptempo music, and the seating is super uncomfortable. The decor is super fast-good generic. Staff is about McDonald’s-level friendly but nothing like how it used to be when Starbucks was in its heyday. The ridiculous no-straw policy and trash all the way on the other side of the store from the main doors, all just make me think they just don’t give a shit about the customer experience any more. It’s double drive thru and unwelcoming interior environment scream “we don’t want you staying around, this is not your third place”. Starbucks = McDonald’s of coffee. Local it is, from now on. I felt I just needed to put this review in, I have been going there almost every other day since they’ve opened, I only go through the drive thru. The service, the kindness, the people in the drive thru are amazing, every single one I have encountered. On red cup day I was parked to wait for my coffee and the man that came out was just truly an amazing person we talked just a few seconds but he was so nice to me, I was crying couldn’t hold back my tears as my father just passed the day before and his words and kindness we exceptional. I’m now leaving this review after leaving because again another man at the window was just amazing, the small talk, the service and the coffee is all 5 stars. I am glad they opened near my house I would just go to Dunkin across the street, now Starbucks coffee and this service I might have to get a loan to afford this lol but truly love this location for so many reasons. Came in for a water cup for my toddler and was told that are not allowed to give out water anymore , I was here the other day and got a chai tea which was wonderful and a lemonade which was disgusting also a water cup and cup of ice for my toddler and then on this next day they are telling me that I can’t get a water cup for my son ,,, I was very confused and disappointed because he loves there ice and the experience

The staff was also very racist against me as soon as I walked in with my son and went to the counter the two young ladies behind the counter ignored me until I said excuse me ,

Mind you there was no line and nobody was in the drive thru in fact they hey had a truck dropping supplies off
