The coffee is pretty average in my opinion. It's not bad, but there's nothing terribly special about it. It is an aromatherapy shop as well so the smell can be a bit overwhelming at first but it's nothing terrible. I did take the time to look around and there were quite a few things I found myself wanting to buy but couldn't justify the price (ex: a $100 candle..) however I expect a shop like this to come with a price tag so while mildly shocking it wasn't completely unexpected. I'm giving it four stars because in the twenty minutes I was looking around I was followed around by both employees and it just felt very unwelcome and overwhelming, like being rushed to either get out or pressured to buy something, or thinking I was going to steal something at any given point. There wasn't a moment where I didn't go to turn and one of the two was standing in close proximity. I think they were wanting to be helpful and be there in case I needed anything or had a question because I was open about it being my first time but I just found it pretty intimidating and I ended up leaving feeling awkward for not buying anything other than a coffee. I understand wanting to be helpful and attentive but after giving me a quick overview of the place just a simple "hey if you have any more questions feel free to ask I'll be over here" would have sufficed rather than being followed around the store. Will I come back? Don't know. Despite all of it that $100 candle smells like Christmas soul itself and I kind of need it in my life.
In response to your reply and now leaving a one star because of the conduct that reply held. No I did not in fact go into your shop looking to leave a negative review or have a negative experience. I went there because I was wanting to try something new and interesting and your shop was suggested along my route. After researching your shop it seemed quite interesting and I was really excited to check it out. My experience as a whole was not a negative one and I never said that. I said I felt overwhelmed because I was being followed around like a hawk. We had small talk at the coffee bar and that was about it. If you'll notice I don't actually leave reviews often and the only other ones I have left have been such positive responses to places. I leave a review when I feel it's justified, and I felt it was here. Like I said I was extremely excited to visit your shop, and it wasn't all bad. What's keeping me from coming back now is this response from you. You don't attack your customers, ever. I even gave you a suggestion on how to fix what happened at your shop and instead of absorbing the critic and saying "hey we can do better and be better" you went into attack mode. I'm glad your business is thriving, but it's not going to be for everyone and evidently it's definitely not for me. I hope in the future when another customer has a complaint you choose to listen first, and then respond.
Third and FINAL update: Because you insist that I made a derogatory, hateful comment. You're wrong. Since you forgot what happened: I did in fact say "oh I would never bring my kid here" it was a thought I had out loud and IMMEDIATELY realized how wrong that could sound for multiple reasons and I IMMEDIATELY turned around apologized commented on how well her son was behaving and that my girl would be an absolute tyrant and run around the store. My apology was so abrupt and immediate that the female associate stalking me around the store jumped, and was startled when I turned around holding my hand up saying I'm so sorry that's not what I meant. I understand that it's frustrating to receive a negative review. I stand firm on you still don't attack your customers. You deleted and then updated your initial response to me to paint yourself in a better light after you had known you'd done wrong. Even then you still chose to attack me. I really do hope in the future you'll be emotionally better equipped to absorb critic better rather than taking it as a personal blow to your ego. Because all critic, negative, or positive is...
Read moreNeed a good cup of coffee and went by the ratings and the fact that it was clear where the place was located(drove in circles trying to figure out a couple other places). My go to is always a hot americano. Itâs my favorite drink but it also lets me really taste the espresso because it can only slightly hide behind the hot water but even then if itâs not good youâll know. Not only was the man who made the coffee a nice guy to chat with but from the first sip I knew Iâd made the right choice stopping in. The espresso is robust and nutty but not bitter or sour or burnt. Iâm sure itâd be lovely in a latte or cappuccino. Go support local people! The coffee is so much better and anymore itâs all the same price too so really why...
Read moreI live 12 minutes' walking distance from this shop. I was in the mood for some coffee and to take my pup on a walk and decided to check it out. First, Greg was super welcoming to me and my pup, Olaf. Olaf is usually weird with men but kept trying to play with Greg; that was already a sign that this place had good vibes. I only intended to buy a drink which I got a dirty iced chai. This was one of the best dirty chais I ever had in Tampa. I ended up purchasing a mint starter plant and a dog paw cleaner. I highly recommend coming here for coffee and shopping! I will...
