Unkle Reems — Restaurant in Tampa

Today was my first time trying this food truck area out. We were hoping get some food from all the trucks. 2 were open Unkle Reems and Dank AF but no one was at Dank AF. We tried Unkle Reems. I ordered 6 wings (sweet thi chilli) for 6 dollars that was a special. Got the 3 meat sampler (Chicken, beef sausage, and brisket) a side of the brisket baked beans, mac and cheese, loaded chicken fries, blue raspberry drink, also got a chicken sandwich! I personally had the chicken wings and part of the chicken sandwich! My son had the chicken fries and blue raspberry drink. My son was happy with the fries. They were fried to perfection! He would have liked more jalapeños and more cheese. Nice amout of chicken. Nice amount of sauce. The sour cream was a little running. I think if you used creme it would set it off the top (a nice zig zag drizzle!) My boyfriend had the rest!!! Wings smoked great, flavor was very good but I wish I would have done the Buffalo or the garlic parm. Still very pleased! Chicken sandwich had a nice portion size good flavor a little more sauce on it would have been nice with some Cole slaw wooo! But still again still very good. My boyfriend who is extremely extremely picky about bbq and a bbq freak (like travels for bbq). He said the brisket was very very pleased, amazing! He said everything was delicious that he had!!! But the brisket he said was super on point and the slices were nice and thick and cut with perfection and to see the nice dry rub flavor on the brisket with a perfect crisp and fat!! Chicken he said he was able to see the seasoning and had alot of flavor, the sausage he said was on point! Portion sizes were great! The Mac and cheese could have used a little less flakes and a little more mac , but still very good and flavorful!! You could taste the smoke in the baked beans from the brisket great mmmmm!! The brisket tasted unseasoned and definitely dry. It was not freshly cooked, couldn't have been. I get it takes a while to smoke/cook brisket but it should've been juicier and warmer. The chicken was unseasoned and not even warm as well. The "frosted" cheesy potatoes had actual cereal in it....lol why? When my bf asked the guy what it was, he failed to mention there is actual cereal flakes on top of the potatoes. To each their own but that was just weird to us, it made no sense. We were thinking there was going to be some type of white cheese that made it look "frosted". Overall though the potatoes were sort of bland. The honey lemon pepper wings barely had seasoning, I couldn't taste any honey and there was a weird after taste. The Asian Thai chili wings were okay. The blue raspberry lemonade tasted like watered down kool-aid. I couldn't even finish mine. Oh and the sweet "creamed" corn was okay but I wouldn't call that creamed corn. We were kind of upset that we spent $40 almost $50 for that. We should have known the food wasn't going to be good when we didn't smell any food being cooked. I know it's a food truck but no smell.....at all? I think what they did was just warm up food that was already cooked from a day or two ago because several times their power went out while getting our food ready and where was the smoker? It didn't take long to get our food after ordering. They opened at 4 and we got there at 5 so where is the fresh food? Never going back... ever. Would...

Went last night to see what all the hype was about, got there at 7:15 placed my order it was sunny out. ilI soon realized there were a lot of people with discouraging faces sitting waiting. I saw them keep taking orders but never once letting anyone know there was a wait on food. Well the sun went down and the temperature dropped and we had plans. it was now 8:35 and still no food so i went up asked about my order and when there was still 5 more orders infront of mines. I requested a refund and cancel my order. They were quick to refund me my money and give me a discount coupon for when i ever return. Seems like they are a good spot but i don’t see myself going out to a food truck and waiting well over an hour for food that should be already made. We ended up not eating there and having to settle for whatever was close by because we were hungry. Be aware if your hungry speed is not at this place. We watched people waiting for orders having to eat at the trucks next to theirs just to hold them down until their food...
