This was a first time visit for my wife and I, and we left knowing we definitely will come back again! The location has a parking lot next to it, so it was easy in and out. The inside was stylishly decorated and the lighting was warm and welcoming. Our server did a great job describing one of the drinks my wife asked about as well as sealing my decision to try the pork chop for dinner. We started off with Parmesan pretzel bites for an appetizer. There were not only more bites in the appetizer than I expected, but the marinara sauce was a flavor I would not have expected to be paired with it but was almost as good as the Dijon sour cream. However, I was not prepared for just how good the Maple Bourbon glazed pork chop was! It is absolutely the best pork chop I’ve ever had and this should be marked as the restaurant’s specialty. Except I haven’t tried anything else yet from here so maybe the other dishes are even better? Pairing the chop with sweet potato fries and a small salad was perfect, since that maple bourbon glaze tasted good with everything! We topped our dinner off sharing a strawberry shortcake dessert, and though I was thoroughly full, I regret nothing! Oh and don’t forget to try their maple pecan espresso martini. It may taste like a dessert, but that won’t stop you from having...
Read moreSat down for dinner, I don’t know where to start. First off i immediately felt welcomed being greeted by the host Skye with such positive enthusiasm! I was then sat at a nice booth, the atmosphere is very cozy and chill. The service in this place is top notch I was then greeted by my server for the evening; his name was Parker and let me tell you the reviews don’t lie, he was on point with everything, if you come in here unsure of what to get, he’s your guy! From savory and delicious food to beautifully crafted drinks this place checks all the boxes! Parker recommended the pork chop to me this evening and his description was word for word exactly how he described it, which means this place is not only selling good food, but consistently doing so every time. He then said that the maple cider old fashioned pairs well with the pork chop, and once again he hit the nail on the head. Bartender Jake was crafting excellent cocktails this evening I think my favorite for the evening was the candied pecan espresso martini! So so good! Whether you are passing through Taunton or a resident in town and haven’t been to this spot yet…WHAT ARE YOU...
Read moreMy family of four was sent to Union Straw by the Old Colony Museum. We were looking for a late lunch and sat immediately. Only a few other patrons were there and Alex was our server. From the moment we sat down, we received great service and attentive care regarding what to order off the menu. We each chose well, including the chicken and waffles and the turkey sandwich. The food came out fast and hot, and everything was delicious! The waffles were made from scratch and all the sauces were scratch made. We each cleaned our plates and every bite was amazing. Alex took great care of our table while not being intrusive. He recommended dessert and we devoured the apple bread pudding and a strawberry shortcake. Again, the taste is incredible and everything is obviously made from scratch, including the biscuits. We live too far to visit regularly, but the next time we are close enough in Massachusetts to stop by, we will...
