Benito's Pizza — Restaurant in Taylor

My sister recommended Benoito's. She orders from them often, she loves their bbq chicken pizza. She orders from a Benitos near her. The one closest to me though, did not disappoint. The food is good, very good...my younger boys love their round pepperoni pizza, my oldest and I love their deep dish bbq chix pizza...and EVERYONE LOVES their broasted fried chicken. A few weeks ago I had my sister and her family over to help me clean out my basement-PD with a feast from Benitos...only problem was, i ordered 16 pc chicken...mixed. Out of the mix, 9 were WINGS. Frustrated but busy, i didnt call. A week later though my sons wanted Benitos, I called and ordered and told the order person what had happened previous week and she transferred me to the manager. He apologized, remembered my order because he tried to call me and ask if I wanted to change or cancel order since he was running out of chicken...when he couldnt reach me, he made the best choice he could and put wings in place plus few extra. He apologized then said, HOW MANY PIECES DO YOU WANT TONIGHT? I said we weren't ordering chicken tonight, I was tight on money. .just the pizzas. He goes, no no mo, I'm going to give you chicken...how many pieces? I said eight...he goes, ok, I will make you 12 on me, ok?

Now that customer service. Great food, good staff, GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. Plus they always wear masks, social distance and respectful during this pandemic, which is very important to me as I'm immunocompromised.

Used to love this place but this Year alone they've been charging me a whole day later for whatever amount I didn't pay in tip, Call me and lied about the distance, "If you live over 9 minutes away you HAVE to pay a tip of a $6" they looked me up and lied I am exactly 9 minutes away. Also Tips are Optional and We Are not required by law to pay a tip. It goes against my Islamic beliefs. I'm contacting Corporate and Or the franchise owner. Being called for a extra Tip as if they knew i only had 4$ in cash, before they showed up and or demaned Extra payment at the door is really disrespectful to me as a Muslim and as a 17 year long customer. I've also contacted legal advice for things like this bc it's a little discriminatory and though they've lost a loyal customer I'm not going in off lies I can make up on the spot, like the lady who called me, trying to tell me "our driver Groans- at your address bc you don't tip well. You are far away.(repeats distance requires over 6 dollars for tip) he doesn't get paid Enough without tips." So I was made to feel embarrassed and upset, though I had 4$ cash for a tip my friend had to throw an extra 10 in over OPTIONAL Tips. I am never ordering from them again due to...

Since you would rather lie and argue instead of make right by the situation, I'll reply. We are not outside of the the 5 mile radius, we have ordered from your location in the past. Never received any notification that we were outside the radius. If you're confused by the 1 star rating then maybe you should ask yourself why you decided to argue with a customer on social media instead of apologizing and making right by the situation. I would have deleted this review and probably ordered in the future. Instead, im replying to your lies and will not order from your location again.

Unfortunately, I have to post this review. I say unfortunately because the pizza is good. My wife tried to place an order tonight that was about $65 worth of food and she put a $10 tip on top of the delivery charge. We understand that our location is not close, but i don't consider a 12 minute drive to be far. We were called back and told we were way outside the delivery area and that it would be 2 hrs to receive our delivery. We cancled our order and placed an order with Torminas who is an 11 minute drive away that has delivered to us no questions asked for several years on a weekly basis. That order took 45...
