Boy does this place pack a punch, and not in a good way either. I’ve never watched too much of the famous films of the ‘Rocky’ series but I do know that they are widely respected and regarded by film and boxing lovers alike. The name Rocky goes a long way, so when I was craving Chinese food one night and stumbled across this place, I figured with this establishment so freely giving itself this kind of name, it had big shoes.. or in this case: gloves to fill. Was I disappointed.. to quote from what Sylvester Stallone’s character says at the end of Rocky IV (while giving no spoilers), his character says to the crowd “If I can change, and you can change, everybody can change.” I hope the owners of Rocky’s Chinese Restaurant give this quote a hard listening to after watching a complete marathon of the Rocky movies, not to mention Creed as well just to get caught up for Creed II, in theaters everywhere this coming fall, and really understand what this quote can mean to benefit their business. Because this place needs change. The food was abysmal, it was bland, tasteless, and with no redeeming value whatsoever besides the fortune cookie which to no surprise, said inside of it “You should’ve ate somewhere else.” Good fortune indeed I’d say. I will not be returning to Rocky’s Chinese Restaurant, and by all means please do not make a Creed’s Chinese Restaurant if it’s going to live by the same low standards and quality of food as it’s predecessor. If I ever come back, I’m hoping to be knocked out in a good way coming out of the ring. Thank you...
Read moreFigured I would chime in and give my unbiased review. I have never had any issues with the quality of the food, nor the amount of time it took for my food to be ready. I used to order the sweet and sour chicken, but now I only order the General Tso's chicken. Their General Tso's chicken is pretty good and if you ask they will give you extra sauce. Seeing all these negative reviews does however make me rethink wanting to eat here. The only issue that I've personally ever had is the attitude from the employees. They never smile, and it seems like they're always in a bad mood. My food has always been good here and I've never had an issue with that, but one time I noticed the restaurant had a foul stench. They definitely need to invest in a cleaning crew, or stop being so lazy and sanitize the food area. Sanitation is one of the biggest issues at this location apparently, and when you couple that with bad attitude, it really drives down the rating of this restaurant. I am actually kind of disappointed that I looked at the reviews for this restaurant, because I've never had any issues and I always loved their food. I'm afraid if I order now my opinion has been altered and is now biased because of all the reviews I see.
If you are hungry and you are looking for some cheap Chinese food this place is not that bad.
Debating whether I want to order from this place right now or not. I may just walk in and observe a little bit...
Read moreRocky's is a good value. You get plenty of food for your money and I have found ti to be generally well prepared. I agree that there is a bit of inconsistency but I have always found the food to be acceptable and sometimes superb. I have never gotten a bad meal from them.
I also would like to say that the people complaining about child labor laws are completely wrong. There is no law restricting the employment of children. If there were you would never see a movie or TV show that had child actors. Even infants can be employed for appropriate work. Maybe some of you should learn the laws before you accuse somebody of violating them.
Rocky's is a family business. That allows them even more ability to employ their children. Essentially they cannot let their child do anything dangerous or work too many hours, and that is about it. I have seen the young girl performing several tasks but none of them were dangerous and she is not always working either. I think we have some commentators in here that are...
