We had a very poor experience tonight. Sadly, this is the first time we’ve been to TRH in about 7 years because of the last bad experience we had. We decided to give it a shot tonight because I am halfway through a pregnancy and CRAVING prime rib, which we called beforehand to be sure they had enough left to serve us tonight, the lady on the phone assured me they did. We checked in using their online system and were given a quote of 35-45 minutes to be seated. We arrived 15 minutes after checking in and I asked the hostess again if there was prime rib, she said yes. (Again, the only reason we came out.) We were sat after an hour. (I get it, they’re at limited capacity, we were hangry but understood.) Our server Chris was super kind and attentive for the most part. After Chris took our order, our app came out super fast. Our toddlers meal took a while but she’s 3 so, she was fine. The manager came out to tell us there was no prime rib, but ended up finding one last slice and offered my husband a ribeye instead. (Again, we understood. Bummed, but they can’t really accurately predict how many people will order prime rib in an hour, and maybe they did have plenty when I asked the first two times and just quickly ran out.) Steaks finally came out about 30 minutes after we were sat and my husbands ribeye was absolutely perfect, we were very impressed! My prime rib...well you can see my photos. We asked for it to be the lowest temp possible, it was well done. Literally half of it was fat and the other half brown and dry. It tasted old. Now, all of this would have been totally remedied if Chris had checked on us a few minutes after he dropped the steaks. I would have sent it back and ordered a ribeye, not another complaint. Sadly, we didn’t see him for another 20 minutes. So I just sat...hungry. He finally asked if we were doing okay and I expressed my distaste and he said he’d send the manager over. Another 10 minutes. Manager comes over and checks out the steak, says she’ll go see what she can do. Another 10 minutes. She comes back and says she’ll take a little more than half off my meal. Umm.😬 No... I told her I had sincerely taken 3 small and unpleasant bites. I didn’t want to pay for any of it. She gave me a curt, “Okay!” and walked off without asking if they could get me anything else there, or to go, or really apologizing for the experience. I was kind of shocked. By this time, we’d been there for well over an hour and I had to get a kiddo in bed. So I didn’t bother ordering anything else, I just left hungry. I didn’t expect a discount or a free meal, I expected my meal to be replaced in a timely manner and that absolutely did not happen. I’m super dissatisfied with the way this was handled. I totally get being busy and having a lot of guests to care for, I served at another highly renowned steakhouse for 4 years...and any time my manager had to stop at my table, they had my guest taken care of in one stop and fresh food on their table within minutes. As a guest, I never have an issue with a mistake. Stuff happens, food isn’t always perfect. It rarely is! I do pay close attention to how mistakes are handled. I’m not sure what was going on in the back, I’m sure they had a lot going on! I just got the short end of the stick. Sad to say we probably won’t be back, because the ribeye seriously...
Read moreActually to hurt our feelings today, I don't want to give any star to them. They make cry in the restaurant because of upset and angry. We have been eating here for three months and plan to celebrate my husband birthday today, our family from park city would like to join us and total of party are 9 people, I call to ask about table , I told him ( manager)I would like to celebrate my husband's birthday and we have 9 people, he told me if you need to seat together you have to wait till 8-8.30pm ( when I call was 6 pm) I said we don't have seats together on the same table we can separate ( I thought the restaurant so big maybe he can help us to close together) and we will be there about 7pm . We get there and they separate us to the other side on the restaurant, we feel upset and disappointed even miss understanding about separation but the manager know the situation that we are going to have a birthday party even pick the closest table that would be help, but this is not professional at all. As I am a restaurant owner when ever I know situation even my restaurant so small but I know the feeling of my customers I care the feeling of joy good moment together with friends and family in the special celebration, I always try our best the let them close together as much as I can, but this restaurant doesn't care at all, he just us to leave and even we would like to squeeze our party together in a same table he said it is against the law, I told him I never heard about this law in the restaurant. All bad today including: They don't even care about customers feelings, everything that they did just pretend. Not professional to service customers right. Justice bullying nationally. The equality of service to different people. Not try to understand and speak bad to customers. No service mindset. Try to drive out customers away because they think we are too much trouble. Not nice at with every word speak to us. 9.Server smell of alcohol when speaking. Won't be back for sure, I know they don't even care but I just would like to speak up and let everyone know what they did to us today. "My daughter 10 years old said; please treat people the way you want to be treated. They don't treat us the right way that what she thought." PS: if anyone knows about Utah law , the custom has to have their own seat in the restaurant even on booster seats, please...
Read moreI ordered my steak a certain way. We were checked on immediately by the waitress and the manager Corbin. Then we didn't see either of them the rest of the meal. The waitress was honestly a sweetheart. I had over 3/4 the steak left that hadn't been eaten. The bus boy came by and could tell we were bothered and asked if we needed anything (major props to his attitude) he got us a different waiter. She came and asked us if we were ok. We said that the steak we ordered wasn't what we requested. She said she would get a manager immediately. Great job she did. The manager Corbin came over and asked if everything was okay. Clearly, it wasn't. We explained nicely what was going on and that no one has come back by. Since checking on us the first time. He stated that he has come back several times. Which was surprisingly, not true. He only came by once. He was being very argumentative with my better half, but the simple fact that he even had the courage to lie to both of our faces! That's what shocked me the most. After that, a whole other waitress heard all of this and even said that he's a grumpy manager. Mistakes happen. It was the way he chose to handle it that made the whole experience worse. Then he offered exact words "a small discount" in a disrespectful tone like we were trying to get over on him. At this point, I simply told him to take the plate and to leave. I paid the bill in shock with what just happened. Then, literally not even minutes later, after he must have realized how much meat was still on the plate, he came back with it asking if I wanted it cooked longer??? I can say this, I have always been impressed with Texas Roadhouse even when a mistake is made. They have taken care of us with great service. I honestly do not have a problem with any of the staff, or waitresses. It's 100% the manager Corbin!!! This guy is a complete disservice to the company. Clearly, even the people he manages do not like or respect him. Which isn't a surprise. I work in the service industry, and I am shocked that someone like him is even a manager at all. I will be speaking with the GM of the location. Hopefully, this problem will be corrected before he does worse damage to...
