Honestly wow… Terrible. I ordered a half sheet cake (which was well over $150 plus tip) and had my family pick it up, so I couldn’t review the cake before they left the bakery. First of all, the bakery gave us the cake without any sort of container. Just an open cake on a cardboard without a lid… and they expected us to transport it like that? Are you kidding me? Did they run out of supplies or something? What professional bake shop in their right mind would tell a customer that they don’t need a box for such a large cake. Second of all, they spelled the name on the cake wrong and proceeded to spend time looking up the email- resulting in my family being behind schedule for the event. Third, this looked nothing like any of the inspo pics I provided. I would have preferred to pay more money to receive a design that I was hoping for. If there were any issues such as needing to change the icing type or having to upcharge, the bakery should have reached out. Instead, the provided a quote and took the money without fulfilling the request (name/design/flavor) properly. Upon seeing other people’s beautiful cakes in the reviews, it is a damn shame that I wasn’t given the same service. Fourth, there was no flavored icing in between the layers of the cake. I requested dulce de leche, it was just plain buttercream. If I had known that they’d choose not to do any sort of intricate design AND not create the flavors that were requested, I would have gone somewhere else. Needless to say, I will not be a returning customer nor will I ever pre-tip again before receiving the product.

I had an unexpected abysmal experience with Krisota’s Cake Shop. I have been a customer of Kris’ for many years for my kids’ birthday cakes. This time I felt they are very busy, MOST businesses when get busy keep the quality and they even get better. This business went extremely down in quality. She showed me something that I approved but when I saw the actual cake my jaw dropped however I didn’t have any choice half an hour to birthday party. Costco makes nicer cakes. The shape was awful, in the sample shape you would think it’s a 3D shape of sports balls but in the actual cake they were printed shapes cut terribly , the happy birthday was written on a PIECE OF TAPE with MAGIC MARKER! The inside chocolate cake was dry and tasteless and instead of chocolate fillings was a tasteless brownish cream. This is not the way you serve a returning customer. I will upload the actual cake picture please compare it to the sample picture she sent me and judge yourself. The one on the right is the cake she made for me, the green small soccer balls in front are candles that I added to soften the awful look of the cake. The one on the left is the sample I agreed to.

"I recently had the pleasure of visiting Kriotas Bakery in Teaneck, NJ, and I must say, it was an absolute delight! The cake I ordered was not only delicious but also incredibly fresh, leaving me wanting more. The bakery's attention to detail is truly commendable. Every bite was a burst of flavor, and the texture was perfectly moist. It's evident that they use high-quality ingredients and put great care into their baking process. In addition to the amazing cake, the service at Kriotas Bakery was exceptional. The staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. They took the time to understand my preferences and helped me choose the perfect cake for my occasion. I highly recommend Kriotas Bakery to anyone looking for a delightful and delectable cake experience. Whether it's a special celebration or just a craving for something sweet, you won't be disappointed. I can't wait to visit again and try more of their mouthwatering creations! Thank you, Kriotas Bakery, for providing such a memorable and enjoyable culinary experience." THE BEST GLUTEN FREE CAKE!!!!

As a resident of Teaneck, I’ve always passed by this shop on my way to UPS. The store front looks appealing and their baked goods looked beautifully made. I am not sure why it took so long for us to visit, but we finally did after checking out some reviews. The empanadas and tres leches cakes we’re highly recommended.

Their empanadas seems to sell out rather quickly. My hubby stopped by today and their mushrooms empanadas were all sold out around 1pm. Maybe we’ll get lucky when we visit for the third time (they were closed on a Monday when we attempted to stop by a few weeks ago.)

We picked up a tres leches cake today since it was recommended by other reviewers and it was indeed delicious. It’s not overwhelmingly sweet. I wished it was soaked with more milk- it was slightly dry, but the cake was very fresh! I’d definitely buy this again for $4.

The raspberry oats bar is probably the healthiest baked goodie that they offer…it tastes like a fresh granola bar with an extra burst of raspberry flavor!

Tip- they will eventually set up a new system to preorder empanadas ahead of time :)

Super late post, bc my new mom life has been a big adjustment!

I ordered a baby shower cake a few months back and the outcome was beyond our expectations!!! Our guests complimented on the beautiful cake and how delicious it was! I love how Krisota took the time to note down all the notes for my custom cake! We purchased the cake tops and dropped it off. She did an excellent job recreating a cake from two...

I had to find a last minute baker to make a Super Mario Bros. themed cake for my sons birthday. The initial person I had put a deposit down with canceled and I’m truly glad she did. It lead me to find Krisota on Instagram. I did a search for Super Mario Bros cakes and found one that I loved the design of. I live in NY and mapped her location and decided to reach out to her to see if she had the date open. She responded back very quickly (less than 24 hours) and said she had the date available. She sent me her flavor listing and I told her the design I saw on her IG that I wanted her to do. I chose my flavors, she sent an invoice, I sent a deposit and the date was locked in. Due to covid she was unable to do deliveries but that’s totally understandable so I arranged for it to be picked up. When she was finished with the cake she sent me a pic and I was floored at how gorgeous it was so I would give it 5 stars on looks alone. My sons birthday was the next day and my family couldn’t wait to try the cake because it looked amazing! The flavors I chose were tres leche and vanilla with guava buttercream. When I tell you, everyone absolutely loved the cake and there was a small debate about which layer was better. It was absolutely delicious and I loved both flavors equally. I reached out and thanked her so much for her hard work. She definitely has gained a repeat...
