On the positive side, it's cute place and the wait staff were very meticulous about taking your order and about being thorough with communicating with the staff so they all knew what was what with a shorter. Thing is when I came in it was a hot mess in terms of where to and where to wait to pick up. People were everywhere....waiting, walking and talking and chairs. There was no signs and even though the wait staff were focused on getting the orders right I couldn't figure out where to go to place my order and ended up wasting time. People were sitting at tables and there were a bunch of chairs that were shoved under a counter. My daughter's cauliower soup was great and her salad was OK but to be perfectly honest I did not care for my omelet. When you go out to a dairy place you look forward to eggs tasting like eggs and they taste it like the things from a carton and there was no butter and the omelet had absolutely no flavor and to pay $38 for 2 very simple meals was just way too much . To be that frustrated because of the chaos is way too much. I really think that there's enough competition that they need to pay attention to everything and not just the order itself. I feel like the management needs to do a better job of giving their employees more of a sense of how to deal with the customer instead of just how to type things into...

On Sunday mornings, this place has lots of families + lots of little kids. Can be a bit noisy, but in a fun way IMO.
For my kosher homies, this place is a classic breakfast spot with an organic down-to-earth sort of classiness.
For those unfamiliar with kosher, expect prices to be about 25% greater than what you’re used to. This is the nature of kosher food costs (has to do with food preparation). But the food will be overwhelmingly fresh.
Overall vibe: revitalized industrial atmosphere with a bit of down-to-earth “homeliness” (heimeshe).
Food is really good. Pancakes are outstanding. Drinks are 4/5, but that’s my snobby coffee palette. Great place to get lost in a book!
I’ll definitely be...
Read moreI love the drinks at Lazy Bean. I almost always get the strawberry shortcake drink (made with almond flavor, strawberry syrup, vanilla ice cream and fresh whipped cream), but I decided to change it up last week and get the caramel heath bar. I feel like I'm treating myself to something special whenever I buy these drinks. Yes, they are rich, and probably very unhealthy, but they are so delicious! They also have healthier smoothies, coffee, and pastries. It's popular for good reason. At some point, I'll try the food, but for now, I'll keep enjoying...
