We arrived about 8 minutes before 4p, our favorite waiter was due in at 4p...so I asked ( I'll call her Barbie) if she would mind if we could wait for him, she seems clueless but then said yes, so..I asked her if I could get a cup of soup while we waited ( I have not been able to eat since 11a...and just got done with my infusion) instead of getting it she went over by the pop machine ( which we were sitting right in front of) talked to a ( elder waitress and I heard her tell Barbie to tell me that I could wait til he comes in and he can get it!!! Barbie started heading back to us..I just put my hand up ( to stop her) and told her forget it and I heard them!!! Disrespectful! And why?? She was not busy, and when do you tell a customer no??? Barbie seemed so clueless. We have never been so disrespected!!! We have dinner every other Friday due to hospital infusing and have always been treated great by Even He's polite, and always treated us with respect. Kudos to Even for making our stay today a bit...

Bristly patron at the door even scoffed that we drove in from Chicago as we both waited on tables to open up, “I feel sorry for you; I hate that place.” Quintessential Michigan spot where unsolicited opinions are expressed in unassuming tones that make you candidly laugh versus become offended in receipt.

Oh yeah, there’s a stocked salad bar just like back in the day but in real life now. Unreal!
Later on, the family next to us offered to take our photo. There is love left in the world! Take that bristly patron at the beginning. Life comes full circle at this Big Boy in the best ways possible.
Will return, love it here. Would recommend to a friend! Seriously though, fantastic Big...

They obviously were cooked in either margarine or oil. If they'd been cooked in butter they at least would have some much needed flavor. The hash browns were limp and just ok. Just ok sausage, the bacon was not very good. My husband had orange juice and he said it tasted like frozen concentrate juice. Coffee was decent. Didn't even have real maple syrup to go with the French toast. Decor was very dated and cluttered. On the plus side, staff was friendly. Will not...
