We have had eaten their good a few times a year in the past 6 years hoping each time maybe it would be different and find a good dish and ordered something that we didn't eat before. At first a few dishes were so-so and missing a lot of ingredients that other restaurants would use. I have eaten that many Chinese restaurants in my life and many different states. this is one of the worst Chineese restaurants ever. Tonight we tried sweet and sour pork and sweet and sour chicken. Hoping they improve from the almond chicken dish and broccoli beef we ordered a month ago. The rice is always Bland it's not fried it's just a brown rice. The chicken they use is what they call Woody chicken and this is a disease of the chicken itself that is in the breast. Just look it up Woody Chicken on google. And the store you can get it also by accident because it's really thick and striated meet muscle very tough and chewy. Doesn't taste good. In the store when you buy chicken you cannot see that it's woodiness necessarily always. The top of the breast will be a little whiter and harder in the package. If you could see underneath the chicken breast before your buy it, you would notice that it has striations like beef roast does when cooked. They get the very low quality and chicken when it's Woody because it's cheaper their sauces are nasty no taste. I think the sweet and sour sauce for the chicken was light corn syrup with little tiny bit of vinegar and water it was gross. We will never eat there again we are done. They have never opened up their inside of their restaurant since covid that is pretty dirty in there. To be honest after reading all these other reviews in the last six to eight years and current there's more negative about this place I am so surprised they're still open they need to close down and open up a really good Chinese restaurant find someone who knows how to cook Chinese food and not skimp out on the ingredients and the quality also the Wok restaurant in Adrian is also not very good. I tried their coconut shrimp and that wasn't good. I tried other stuff there and it wasn't good either so we don't have good Chinese food down in this area. I guess I have to go to Ann Arbor or Toledo. I make better Chinese food than that. The Oriental sizzle does not even do fried rice correctly there's nothing fried about it nothing in it and this has happened more than once once I suggest we petition to get this restaurant closed. According to these reviews that I read people have been getting slimy food and have been getting sick so maybe we need the Health Department to inspect them...
Read moreSuper gross. Chicken and broccoli comes with white sauce... Which was not expecting. It was gross. The brown sauce has barely any taste, watery and not actually brown sauce...but what it did tastes like slimy sewer water. The water chestnuts and veggies had a sort of slime to them from the sauce. The chicken was super chewy and gross. Nobody was able to eat their meals, but we tried. The cream ragoons taste like straight cream cheese with sugar in them. Nothing like any I've had before. They were odd, but not the worst. Egg roll was good tasting. Fried rice was bland, gross and didn't have ANY veggies, soy sauce or flavor. There were like 5 pea sized sprinkles of egg in it lol Honestly, we were wanting to like this place. We are looking for REALLY good Chinese food and heard great things about this place. Service on the phone seemed REALLY great. Order was 100% correct as well. Packages were sealed tight so no messy rides or spills on the way home, which we really appreciated. Not even a bad price for Chinese takeout. Pretty fair prices. Picked up food, smelled amazing. All so far was great! Got home and ate it and it was so gross. We ended up throwing away almost 3 full meals they were so gross. We are a bit of our meals. I ate 2 crab ragoons and 3 bites of chicken with sweet water sauce, and got an upset stomach almost immediately ( within an hour). My stomach was a mess for about 24 hours. My husband are half of his and had a bad stomach for over a day. Without going into detail, he has spent a lot of time in the restroom miserable after. My son, who has an iron stomach barely ate his and was ok. Just didn't feel great, but no other issues but an upset feeling stomach. I don't know what went wrong, bit it was not worth returning...
Read moreI arrived just after 4pm.. only two tables were occupied and the waiter sat me at a table right away. He took my order after giving me my tea and water. My soup came first and I enjoyed the won ton soup. I am used to getting fried won ton noodles with soup but they gave saltine crackers (2). Soon after my orange chicken w/rice dinner came and it was a lot of fried chicken with some sauce with broccoli. About 7 small pieces of chicken. The sauce did not have much of an orange flavor to it although I did request no spice. I noticed many burnt pieces of orange peel. The peel was black and burnt crispy.. ugh! Not what I was expecting but I said nothing.. I know they saw my meal as he brought it out on a plate and other reviewers have mentioned that as well. Nothing special about the broccoli which was raw and the rice was normal. I didn't think $10.25 was a fair price for the meal and it had no flavor, not even sesame seeds. The tea was ok. I don't know how someone could say they loved the orange chicken unless they LIKE burnt peels. It helps for reviewers to tell what they ordered! I have lived in Tecumseh over 10 years and only went here twice and the last time my pepper steak was just awful. I thought 10 years later they might have improved. The time to get good service is after their lunch rush but of course the cost is several dollars more for the same meal. I will give them another try in no less than 10 more years, if they are still...
