Mango Haus Lounge — Restaurant in Tehachapi

Lots of potential here but we were there on a Wednesday night and while the staff was friendly they did not pull off the meal or the service well.

We had a party of nine and several people finished their meals before five of our people received theirs, and the last two people only received their meal after everybody else was done.

The Italian dressing is terrible, unless they fix it. Don't use it. If you're going to order it, get it on the side so you can taste it first.

The chicken parmesan meal? Wasn't great, the noodles and sauce were acceptable. The chicken was just different.

The burgers and fish and chips appeared to make everybody happy, and my partner had the chicken sandwich that was excellent.

The french fries and the sweet potato fries are spectacular! Be sure to ask for some of their garlic sauce to go with them. If you do the cheesy fries with the garlic sauce, I would recommend you get the sauce on the side so your french fries are the crispiest! It's really a good combination.

One of our party had the steak and fries appetizer and didn't enjoy the steak for some reason.

The drinks were good, and customer service again overall was good except for getting meals out. I think they might have been short-staffed in the kitchen on the night of our visit, the waitress said they only had one person and he was really trying hard.

We were on a long drive and wanted to take a break and have a snack. We got there and ordered garlic fries. It took about 20 minutes for them to arrive which was a little disappointing. The staff kept checking in with us so I think they knew it took longer than it should have. The interior of the restaurant is really odd. There is a big area with fake grass in front of the bar with one couch seating area on top of it, there is a very long bar with massive projectors screens behind it but it wasn't playing anything besides Spotify info for the song playing. The actual seating area with tables tooked very spread out and random with very cheap wobbly tables. The whole interior just didn't look put together and harmonic, colors were scrambled around with no system and the vibe because of that was really chaotic. From the outside you wouldn’t believe how amazing the food is here. We arrived and were immediately greeted and sat right away. We’re new to the area and are searching for good places to eat. Coming from the valley area it’s been tough. But the Mango Haus Lounge was perfect. We ordered the patatas bravas for the appetizer which had an amazing flavor. Then the poblano burger and the mango chicken sandwich which were both perfect. The chicken was juicy and the combination of the mango and jalapeno sauce paired great. My wife said it was one of the best burgers she’s had. For the side we got the salad and French fries. Her salad looked and tasted god and the fries were cooked perfectly.
