This place needs some help. It has lost that lovin feeling for sure!! I have eaten here over the last 10 years, hundreds of times. This last time, was not impressed at all. Got a chicken chimi, a classic mexican food go-to.. It was chopped grilled chicken, not slow cooked to perfected shredded chicken that makes a great chimi great. HARD FAIL. The burrito was the slimmest chimi I have ever seen. It was more like a flautas… The flavor was lackluster. The enchiladas had more onions and peppers than meat, you would have thought they were fajitas covered in sauce. The ambient temp in the restaurant was close to the temp of the grill. Uncomfortable and not good for a dine-in experience at all. That was $35 down the drain. Lesson learned. There are other great mex food spot all over Temecula valley… So, not going to sweet it. Once I hear they have upped their game, I may be back.

Very friendly staff. The place looked clean and welcoming. Quick service. Prices are the same as anywhere else, pretty much about $12 per person. Unfortunately the food was not good at all. We got an asada quesadilla and a two asada taco with rice and beans plate along with a coffee and an horchata. The quesadilla was very oily and the meat had good texture but had no flavor besides a load of salt. The tacos were the same, no flavor. The only flavor I was getting from the tacos was coming from the tortilla itself. The beans were clearly can beans and no flavor either. The rice was decent. Even the horchata was very bland. Again the staff was very nice, nothing against them but the owner or cook should work on adding flavor to the food.

Jilberto’s has been my go-to spot for Mexican food for over 15 years, and they’ve never let me down. Their carne asada fries are the perfect example of why—they’re loaded, flavorful, and always hit the spot. The fries stay crispy under all that goodness, the carne asada is tender and seasoned just right, and the toppings (guac, cheese, sour cream, and more) bring everything together in the best way possible. Consistency is what makes Jilberto’s special. Whether it’s late night or mid-day, I know I’m getting the same high-quality, satisfying food every single time. If you’re looking for the best carne asada fries around, this is where you’ll find them.

Well my son and his friend encountered the employees kicking out my son and his friend because they had skateboards. My son and his friend are very respectful gentleman. And they were not about to leave their skateboards out front of the restaurant like the employees told them too. Each skateboard is $200 plus. If these kids are paying customers, what is it hurting you that they carry their skateboards in and eat? That's how you guys treat customers kids when the parents aren't there? Wow .... I will be sharing this info with everyone I know. I have had my sons skateboard stolen before when someone told him to leave it out front. And they didn't want to pay the $320. To replace it. So with that my son and his friend took their food outside to eat on the dirty sidewalk. And that place has dirty floors. DO YOU ASK EVERYONE TO TAKE OFF THEIR SHOES BEFORE ENTERING?

Very angry PARENT!!!!!!!!! WE WILL NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN FOR LACK OF...

We got a Carne Asada Burrito and other things for our family, the rolled tacos were ok. However, the Burritos were awful! It tasted like someone dumped a bucket of salt and bitter limes on the meat. Now I like both salt and lime but this was almost inedible. I called to let them know that the food we just bought was not good, but the lady that answered the phone said. "Ok" and was going to just hang up! I said "wait don't you even want to know what was wrong"? She obviously didn't, but, I told her anyway, then she said O.K., and hung up! Needless to say they don't care what people think or if they have our business. They are by a High School and probably won't go out of business no matter how rude and unconcerned they are about quality, BUT, they have lost our...
