We went in for dinner Sunday night for our first time. The service was slow and there was only one more family having dinner. We didn't get any refills on our drinks. We ordered the Mole Poblano dish with chicken. The Mole was super sweet and chocolatey tasted horrible. We also ordered Chicken Enchiladas and the red sauce was salty and had no other flavor to it. The chicken was dry and hard and the tortillas were soggy. Not a good meal at all. For my children I ordered 2 chicken tacos with rice and beans. The rice was undercooked and hard. The chicken was old and had been fried which made it hard and with no flavor. We ordered 3 drinks 2 sodas and one small agua fresca. Overall our dinner was horrible and service was slow. When we got our bill was when I almost fainted!! $53.71 was our total! My husband and I couldn't believe it. We kept adding everything up and it just didn't make sense. We decided to pay leave and never ever come near this place again! For reference all the other small Mexican joints we eat at average around $30 with tip. We left a small tip to total $60 because we always tip when eating out but our tip always depends on the service. Well I now feel like we shouldn't have tipped at all. We didn't even get a detailed receipt just a total on a credit card receipt type. If you are looking for real ,fresh, delicious Mexican food I highly recommend Taquitos Jalisco in Mesa. Their prices are very reasonable and the service is outstanding. Thank you for reading and do your self a favor and stay far...

Love exploring authentic restaurants in lesser known restaurants places. Today we traveled to this place hoping for an authentic home style Mexican meal.
Unfortunately we didn’t find what we hoped and desired.

Overall ⭐️⭐️
The quality of the food is questionable. Ordered several items to get a taste of their menu. This was the first restaurant that I have received food poisoning from.
Here’s the food that was ordered;
#61 2 Chili Relleno with beans, Rice and Corn Tortilla’s. The food came out really fast which means items have been assembled and precooked. The chili relleno tasted like chicken Parmesan. The chili relleno had a tomato sauce with a ton of cheese. I couldn’t see the chili relleno, was there even two chili relleno’s??
#70 The second item ordered was the enchiladas suizas with sour cream. The came out later. The green tomatillo sauce literally tasted like it was spoiled. I’m thinking this is what gave me food poisoning. I was looking forward to authentic enchiladas.
#21 & #30. Tacos 🌮 I ordered Al Pastor and Chicken tacos. Both lacked flavor and where cold. The chicken was very Chewy and bland!
On the bright side, the service was outstanding. Friendly servers checking in on you the entire time.
Overall, if you’re looking for a good Mexican meal, you wouldn’t find it here.
I hope...
Read moreWe wanted to go here for a long time. We went on a Sunday and there were only two groups there. Our server did not speak any English (the signage outside is in English) and so we had difficulty ordering.
I ordered a plate of ground beef, rice, and beans. You have to pay for the tortilla separately. I don't know if this is a thing in Mexico, but I've been to plenty of authentic Mexican restaraunts and this is the first time I had to deal with this.
Finally, our food took ages to come out. We were about to leave when the waitress finally brought out our food. And then it wasn't even good! It was bland and just not good at all.
We came here cos this place has great reviews, but after going, I can't fathom for the...
