Ordered the Tampiquena Dinner Carne asada steak, cheese enchilada with a side of rice and beans and flour tortillas. Also had a red beef tamale on the side. The cheese enchilada was the best part the menu says cheese enchiladas in the description but to be clear you get 1. you only get 2 tortillas which you should get 3. The food lack taste, the rice was plain the beans were meh and runny. The pico de gallo had very little flavor and you hardly get any. The carne asada steak had decent flavor but was very tough and hard to cut up with a knife. The chips and salsa you get prior is very plain, the chips portion is very small and you only get 1 serving no refills on the chips and for an authentic Mexican Food this is probably the least flavored salsa I have ever had. I had here on a Tuesday early dinner maybe the A team wasn't there but on a scale of 1-10 this place is a low 4 and I drove 30 minutes to try this place, I won't be back. The food taste more like a bunch of canned food opened up and warmed up. The tamale was very good but to expensive for what it is. I love Mexican food and go outta my way and don't mind paying for a good meal but save your money and taste buds and go some other place. To top it off I ordered Pepsi and I am pretty sure they gave me diet pepsi or their fountain drink machine settings are really bad which may be the case it did seem like they water down everything here so......... After all the great reviews I was really excited about this place but I will...

Read moreAfter a few months of moving to Arizona, I remember I was craving some pozole and had no idea where I could get some. I tried a few places around but I just couldn't find any that had an authentic flavor. That is until I decided to stop by Susie's. It seemed pretty busy but I didn't have to wait long, staff was nice and friendly, and food came out quick. This pozole was sooo good it reminded me of the one my nana makes (obviously not as good, but we all say that lol). After passing my first taste test, I just kept coming to Susie's whenever I have a craving for mexican food. Tacos are good but the carne asada ones are my go to, it doesn't come with guacamole so I'd definitely add that to make it amazing. The crunchy tacos are very authentic (not the processed shells, it's the homemade ones that get chewy) and the red beef tamales are my fix for the winter craves (but I'm more picky on those so they didn't wow me, better than the 'Berto's for sure though lol). The breakfasts are great, you should try the huevos con chorizo of course! Portions are big and prices are good, but don't expect it to be healthy, it's authentic, delicious, greasy mexican food! Oh and every order comes with a side of chips and salsa, so if you in the mood for some comida mexicana, give...
