Ordered the Tampiquena Dinner Carne asada steak, cheese enchilada with a side of rice and beans and flour tortillas. Also had a red beef tamale on the side. The cheese enchilada was the best part the menu says cheese enchiladas in the description but to be clear you get 1. you only get 2 tortillas which you should get 3. The food lack taste, the rice was plain the beans were meh and runny. The pico de gallo had very little flavor and you hardly get any. The carne asada steak had decent flavor but was very tough and hard to cut up with a knife. The chips and salsa you get prior is very plain, the chips portion is very small and you only get 1 serving no refills on the chips and for an authentic Mexican Food this is probably the least flavored salsa I have ever had. I had here on a Tuesday early dinner maybe the A team wasn't there but on a scale of 1-10 this place is a low 4 and I drove 30 minutes to try this place, I won't be back. The food taste more like a bunch of canned food opened up and warmed up. The tamale was very good but to expensive for what it is. I love Mexican food and go outta my way and don't mind paying for a good meal but save your money and taste buds and go some other place. To top it off I ordered Pepsi and I am pretty sure they gave me diet pepsi or their fountain drink machine settings are really bad which may be the case it did seem like they water down everything here so......... After all the great reviews I was really excited about this place but I will...

I have dined in and also taken their food home ordered take out. MY HUSBAND LOVED MESA AND HIS PEOPLE. He represented generations of Pride and Loyalty and Honor Existed. He lived fought and died with those values displayed to all that knew him. The life he lived he gave what little he had of worldly things. The ones who TRUELY knew him loved him because he sacrificed his life for those who had nothing or no one. MESA and his People were his Pride and Joy and in the had only a few truly did love him yet none of them knew how and why he fought for the oppression and oppressed. It is only I as his wife who fought along side him can tell his story and continue on to fight for Justice in his death and hold those all who are responsible accountable for all who were al part of things that were done to KILL HIM. This place is Authentic in its owner and service t all of their Patronage. The people of Mesa and Tempe see is as a landmark and a true testimony to their values. The generations of people who have dined their have passed their love in the form as LOYAL CUSTOMERS . SUZIES has never compromised their love of the food or values to their Customers . People from everywhere I hope can go there to see the Pride of ALL OF WHAT SUZIE’S REPRESENTS THE BEST IN ALL THINGS OFFERED. They at SUZIE’S AND ALL THAT THEY OFFER ARE ABSOLUTELY ...

After a few months of moving to Arizona, I remember I was craving some pozole and had no idea where I could get some. I tried a few places around but I just couldn't find any that had an authentic flavor. That is until I decided to stop by Susie's. It seemed pretty busy but I didn't have to wait long, staff was nice and friendly, and food came out quick. This pozole was sooo good it reminded me of the one my nana makes (obviously not as good, but we all say that lol). After passing my first taste test, I just kept coming to Susie's whenever I have a craving for mexican food. Tacos are good but the carne asada ones are my go to, it doesn't come with guacamole so I'd definitely add that to make it amazing. The crunchy tacos are very authentic (not the processed shells, it's the homemade ones that get chewy) and the red beef tamales are my fix for the winter craves (but I'm more picky on those so they didn't wow me, better than the 'Berto's for sure though lol). The breakfasts are great, you should try the huevos con chorizo of course! Portions are big and prices are good, but don't expect it to be healthy, it's authentic, delicious, greasy mexican food! Oh and every order comes with a side of chips and salsa, so if you in the mood for some comida mexicana, give...

Horror kitchen situation. The price is lower and the quality is equal to the price, unfortunately. You get what you pay for here. Coming inside it's dark - just enough of light to cover up a really dirty floor. Red flag straight away. Then we didn't receive a discount, only because I ordered in advance. Had to wait for the order for 30 minutes, even though ordered a day before. What is the point of setting up the pick up time then? Had to wander around the place looking for anyone to ask if they're done chasing my chicken in the fields in order to cook me some enchiladas. And last, but not least - the food itself is not great, guys. I do not recommend this place, big disappointment. P.S. don't get fooled of the food looking good in my photos - I just take great photos, is all. The flat flan (second photo) says it all!

So I was referred to this place from a friend and it was just ok. We had the shrimp cocktail and the Mexican pizza. The shrimp cocktail was just ok.... the shrimp came out of a freezer bag and was pretty rubbery. The juice needed a lot of help with salt and lemon juice and hot sauce to get it tasting OK. The Mexican pizza was just ok. We will be back to try the tacos and other offerings. We must have tried the wrong menu items because these guys have been open for over 20 years and they were busy when we were there despite a dark parking lot and not knowing if they were open or not. They definitely have a good following.

Ok, service was great. Seemed ok and promising for authentic Mexican food tbh. If you travel to a place like Pepe’s Mexican on the west side you know this much is true and you really cannot judge a restaurant by its cover because you can be blown away. However this food was not good, old stale rice. Not really good flavor beans, cold food, almost like the love has been kinda sucked out of this places food. Please whatever sauce you are using for the green sauce in your enchiladas it isn’t working. I did not want to put this review however with your prices, I expected much better food.
