I was on my way to a nearby restaurant for a takeout lunch order when I spotted this and decided to pop in for something new. I liked the clean area, and the ordering screen was efficient. I placed my order and sat to wait.
Five minutes went by, ten, then fifteen. I had the intrusive thought that maybe my lack of tipping (it was $35 already for lunch and there was no extra service provided, so why am I being asked to tip $4?) was the reason for the slowness. I started to worry, but a gentlement came out from the back and asked for the name on my order. So I thought, okay I should have it soon.
Another ten minutes went by. A work call that I was supposed to join started, and I told them I was running late. I went up to the counter to check again and the bit I could see into the kitchen looked like a round of that game, Overcooked. They were hustling, and the order screen was flashing red all over the place.
At this point I decided to find the whole thing funny instead of being mad, because it's Friday, and I didn't really want to join that work call anyway.
About 30 minutes after I placed my takeout order it was warmly handed to me with a quick apology. Got home, ate it up right away, and I'll say the sauce was delicious. Massaman curry, perfectly flavored. Maybe a little heavy on the onions and light on potatoes.
Solid meal, but for a place with a logo that is a literal chili pepper on wheels it took too long. I also thought it was a...
Read moreFor fast Thai food I have to say this place is pretty decent and I would go back. But what's making me give this place 5 stars was their service. I had a big order for my office (25+) and tried to order online but after placing my order their website said it was too big and I had to go into the store. With my laptop and excel in hand I plunked down at the cashier desk and went one by one with all the orders and add in. I requested to pick it up 15 mins after opening and they said ok. Tbh, I had my doubts this would actually happen but I rolled with it. Show up and you can tell the team was working like crazy to get my order done. I only saw 4 entrees ready when I came 10 mins early and thought they were in bad shape and this will be super late. However, they were only 4 mins past their promise time and that was due to one of them being diligent and double checking the order to ensure it was right and wipng down the outside to ensure it was clean. They packed it maticulously and made it easy to carry out. They did such a great job I bought a drink just so I could give them an extra tip. When I unpacked it at the office not one order was wrong! Great job to the team working. 9/1 night and 9/2 days. You made my team...
Read moreThai Chili 2 wait. Avoid unless you don't like Thai food, and have too much time on your hands. Under no circumstances should you order in store. My experience was sitting for a hour hungry with a drink getting warm. The staff is polite but will not tell you about the wait. Four order came out of the kitchen in the hour I was there most with 2 dishes, and one with 3-4. Hilariously a friend called me 20 minutes into the wait and asked if I wanted Thai, because they were going to pick up from a local sit down restaurant...and their food arrived before mine. You can judge a Thai resturant by their tom kha, it's an amazing soup that is delightful if you've never tried it. I've never had bad tom kha until I tried Tagi Chili 2 Go. It was near inediblely sour because they missed ingredients. The coconut milk, which balances the sourdid so I was treated to a sour chicken soup. Adding my own coconut milk at home (luckily I had some) made it edible but not enjoyable. The chicken bites were pretty good, but other wise this place is the McDonalds of Thai food. This is a crime because you really have to try to make truley bad Thai food with it's amazing ingredients, and even microwaveable options are better...
