I had just got off the bus and received an email from the last I just traveled 14 Mike's to visit for an interview and she told me I couldn't work there because of the background check...... I was pretty upset so I walked into smashburger to spend my last 5 dollars on a soda cause I felt completely defeated and kinda down on myself I walked up to the register to order my soda and this woman asked what I was having to eat i said oh no that's okay I only have 5 dollars im only having a soda today and she looked at me again and asked what are you eating I sniled and said just a coke and she said don't worry about the soda you are gonna eat then she asked me what I liked I looked at her and asked her what she meant and she asked do you like burgers chicken fries? And i said I like burgers but im low on funds and before I could finish she smiled and shook her hand at me and asked what i wanted on my burger and starting naming things off, lettuce tomato onion mayo mustard and i Just kinda shook my head and smiled then she asked if I wanted french fries and then she went and grabbed a card out of her purse and started typing stuff into the computer then swiped her manager card I think and the price was up at 10.79 and I looked at her and the price and I said really ma'am I'm not joking I don't have the money and she waved her hand at me again and then looked up and said okay your total is 79 cents. I just smiled and thanked her and she said don't worry about it baby I know what it's like. I just think this was the coolest way to pay it forward and to be so generous and to care that much about people is so amazing its hard to find decent human beings anymore.    Read moreI am so disgusted in the blatant disregard of customer service and a simple request, and sadly this isn't an isolated incident either, so am I the one to blame because I keep going back to them?, In my defense my daughter is very picky and if she wants a smash burger I'm happy to get her one and why should I have to drive out of my way because the restaurant less than a mile from my home will not do their job and make my food as I requested, all I asked for was lettuce and pickles on the side because as I take out food to my home instead of eating in store my bun becomes soggy and not edible, I assume they keep their lettuce in water and straight to burger but no barrier between lettuce and bun so that results in soggy wet bun, anyway my request was not fulfilled and I got a cheeseburger with red onion, no mayo or anything else and no lettuce or pickles on the side either, I also ordered 2 orders of rosemary fries and I got plain fries but didn't notice until I was already in my driveway. Why should I have to double check their work when I paid $37 for them to make the food that they are selling. I am so sad that they cannot even bother to make sure I got what I ordered and how I ordered it. Then I tried to call them to ask for a refund and they will not answer the phone, I just get a message that says they are busy helping customers that are in the store! What? I was in the store but since I'm home do I no longer matter? SMH, I am astonished that the owners or CEOs or whoever settle for this and call it customer service. If I was charging money for services I would make sure I made that customer happy or at least gave them what they paid me for.    Read moreUpon entering the establishment our greeting was âweâre closing in 20 minutesâ. The manager; Josiah, was very rude and visibly annoyed, tapping the register loudly and repeatedly. He said that âweâreâ not making shakes right now. As I was finishing placing my order, he asked me if itâs for take out and I said âitâs for hereâ and he said âyou know we are closing in 20 min, rightâ implying he didnât want me to dine in with my family. He forgot to provide drinks for my two kids meals and then when I went to fill my drink, there werenât any regular size lids and so I asked for some lids and he said, âhold onâ. He left and didnât return until we were done eating. I had to ask a cook. Upon getting up to leave the establishment, he had locked to primary entrance and yelled at us to leave out the side entrance. Mind you, this was at approximately 8 oâclock pm, when google maps indicates that the establishment closes at 11pm. When I responded for asking him to watch his tone, he mumbled something under his breath that I could not discern.
We have been frequenting the establishment for several years and have noticed the quantities have become increasingly diminished, such as regarding to fryâs and chicken tenders decreasing from 3 large pieces to 2 small pieces without decreasing in price. We had a difficult time finding a table that wasnât trashed. The males restroom lock was also broke.
