Fruiggies — Restaurant in Temple City

This has to be a money laundering operation. The place is… humble… to put it kindly. You walk into what looks like a waiting area for a dentist office. Blank walls, minimal seating (literally just 3 classroom style chairs), and the most sterile environment I’ve ever seen in food food service. I thought I walked into the wrong building. You are served through a literal hole in the wall. A small window in the wall. I tried ordering a protein shake, they were out. I tried ordering the milk tea, the mystery voice behind the window says “we only have smoothies”. I crouched down to match the height of the small window and ordered a blueberry smoothie and he types the total into his calculator and takes my cash through the window. It honestly felt like we were dealing with more than just a smoothie. As he makes my drink, I hear kids giggling and playing behind the wall. Mind you, the actual area you can stand in and order is only a fraction of the size of the rest of the building. What is the rest of the building being used for? Why do I hear children behind the walls playing the piano? And when he used the blender, it sounded like it was on the other end of the building. The drink was awful.

The whole experience felt like a fever dream and it’s honestly suspicious how this place is still open. I live very close by and I never see anyone in there. Avoid this place for all that is...

The prices are good, and the drinks are good! I couldn’t give five stars for the service because I asked for an extra watermelon smoothie and the guy said he didn’t want to cut open another watermelon to make my second smoothie. Not great customer service. Other than that the customer service was OK. There’s only two chairs to sit down and wait for your drink inside the place. There is no place to drink or hang out or eat at this place. It only has a little waiting room for you to pick up your...
