I normally don't write reviews especially for fast food restaurants, but I have to let someone know (hopefully this reaches corporate) how phenomenal this McDonald's location-Temple Terrace nextdoor to the Circle K - is! Not just the food, but holistically. My family and I was visiting the Tampa area looking for a McDonald's to eat breakfast and the GPS led us to this location . The employees take pride in the work they do. They are not only friendly, but excels in customer service. They know their customers and as soon as the known customers enters the restaurant, they greet them with a good morning and call them by their name. We actually end up dining there and so to watch the interactions with them and their customers and even each other is shocking because unfortunately you just don't find that in a fast food restaurant. They also get along well with one another in a family friendly way smiling and laughing . I observed an employee coming into work and to see the joy and excitement on her co-workers face was warming . It was a joyful sight. Even for those customers like myself who aren't regulars , they treated us as if we were regulars welcoming us with a warm smile, catering to our wants, and fast turn around time on giving us our hot meal. We actually visited this location a couple days days later not knowing the GPS took would lead us back to there because there's so many McDonald's around, but we were happy and knew we would not just enjoy our meal,but our time there and we did. We also visited the McDonald's in the Orlando area as we were on spring break vacation and was not as impressed with the McDonald's over there. While the food was hot for most of the days, the poor customer service there did not make the meal enjoyable which is why when we visited Temple Terrace location it was an overwhelming good surprise there's a fast food restaurant that not only delivers on the meal quality, but has the customer service skills . McDonald's post their wages at most of the McDonald's we visited for the week and knowing their wages, it's not just a job for them . It's like their home away from home and they have their work family including their regular customers that fuels them to keep delivering excellence. One of the "known" customers who appeared disheveled came in with his head down and looked sad they even knew him and said their cheerful good morning and called him by his name and he lifted up his head and said a good morning to them. I can only imagine how good on the inside that customer felt especially how he looked sad . You never know what people are going through and how a simple acknowledgement can change their day. I hope the employees for this location can read this review and be encouraged by the work they do...

I went to McDonald’s and decided that I would use my points today since I had a good amount, and thought why not get something for free. However, after giving my drive-through code to the window, the worker had told me to tell the second window that I needed to receive two orders because I put my points on two separate orders. Therefore when I pull up to the second window, they only provide me with one order. Immediately when I told the worker that I had two orders, She gave me attitude. I found this rather funny because the entire time I was nothing but nice to this lady and gave her no problem that required her to give me attitude. She then asked me if I want to wait for my second order, I obviously say yes and she tells me to pull up to the third window. I then pull up to the third window, a different lady comes out and asks me what the problem was. I then showed her that I was charged for two different sandwiches. She politely says OK I’ll go get it and walks away. Then the previous lady that I had spoke to that was rude comes back and says that my order never rang up in the system, Therefore she cannot give me anything. She then began to taunt me and say that if I want a chicken sandwich so bad I can pay for one. Which was very frustrating for me because I had already purchased A chicken sandwich and tried to show her on my receipt that I had already purchased one. She then began to tell me that I probably purchased it for a different restaurant. I then show her the exact time in which I had purchased everything, Which was only a few minutes before talked to her. Overall I never got my chicken sandwich, but that’s not why I was upset. I was only upset because the lady tried to make me seem stupid when I specifically showed her that I was charged for the chicken sandwich, And was rather rude about the whole situation. Read moreCurbside order ahead is virtually ignored when the business gets busy. Anyone can understand being busy, but the entire point of ordering ahead is to "skip the line", waiting 30+ minutes for $12 of food is beyond ridiculous. I have been frequenting this location for 5 years, and they seem chronically under-staffed, in perpetuity. This issue is not related to COVID. Also, the app allows you to specify which dipping sauces you want with your chicken nuggets: I have literally NEVER received the sauces I asked for. There are separate selectors for honey mustard and honey. Every single time, it is assumed that I do not know that, and I really wanted honey mustard instead of honey. I understand that it's an odd choice, but we're talking about 30 times minimum over the past 5 years (2 dozen times or so in the app and the rest I told the person in the drive thru specifically "NOT honey mustard, HONEY" and still received honey mustard), and it has never been executed correctly. They have a much better record with breakfast (my wife gets bacon egg and cheese with no egg, probably 30% of the time she gets bacon and egg instead of bacon and cheese), but it still needs a lot of work. The only thing preventing a one star rating is the fact that when the food is correct, it is prepared pretty much perfectly and is delicious.
