I went to Berry Fresh Nitrogen ice cream in Tampa and I gave a 2 star review because the ice cream was ok. Not great. Now the staff, one individual in particular, is the one that wants to make me give less than two stars. Could be the owner. Who knows.
I told him it was my first time here so I wanted to see how it worked and what were my options. I started by expressing I needed the vegan options. He told me ALL the flavors were vegan. Then I responded "are you sure, even cheesecake?" With conviction he said "yes". Again, one last time I asked him and told him that I am highly allergic and that if I died it was going to be on him. Then he said, which shocked me: "but by then it will be too late...". And not really processing at the moment what he said, I replied "my boyfriend is out in the car...". Then he told me he was going to "double check" to see if the cheesecake flavor was vegan. He brought the syrup bottle and right in his face it read "contains:milk". He still was telling me it was vegan and then I pointed where it read "contains milk" and then ignoring his reply, I quickly focused my attention on the girl that was preparing the ice cream and asked her if she could let me know which flavors were vegan (because they were not specified on the menu of flavors) because the guy clearly didn't know what he was talking about. He took over then of what she was preparing and then quickly disappeared inside the office. She helped me with my two ice creams and that was it. Then after I left, I sat on the car in front of the place and about 8-10 people came and she was left all alone to work all the people without any help.
In terms of flavor, it was something new. Good, but not that great. At least with the topping and flavor I selected (base: almond milk, flavor: caramel, add on: oreos)
It's not something I would like to order again. Only...
Read moreChill Bar ice-cream hit it out of the park. They have every ice cream choice possible: ice-cream sandwiches (made with fresh baked cookies made in-house daily), Puffle cones, milk-shakes, Sundaes and cones. During these cold Florida months, you can have a scoop of ice cream in your hot cocoa!
It’s an ice cream paradise!
Riley was our ice-cream scooper today. She greeted us as we came in and was patient with my kids choosing their flavor and cone.
This place is trendy and modern with plenty of seating for anyone to come enjoy a cone after dinner, a treat after a special occasion or just because. The scoops are huge and all of the items on the menu are well-priced. It’s worth every penny.
The ice-cream is premium, rich and flavorful. Any flavor your choose with be amazing and you will be back for more. They have UberEats, DoorDash and GrubHub so we may be ordering from our hotel tomorrow.
I asked if they did school fundraisers and was told they do. I will support any business that supports our schools and community.
This place is a treasure and somewhere our family will frequent every time we come to Florida....
Read moreBased off my experience, this shop deserves no less than a 5 star. The store interior is super cute & has convenient parking area which is always a plus. Most importantly the ice cream is yum.
Shop was very clean and simplistic. The customer service was good and staff was helpful. I really like the idea of building my ice cream from bottom to top.
I ordered vanilla ice cream with whip cream & graham cracker in a puffle cone. It was absolutely perfect and sufficient to satisfy my sweet tooth. It is my definition of good ice cream. I loved that the puffle cone is made fresh and on the spot as well. I would definitely consider this my new ice cream spot whenever I have cravings which is pretty much everyday. Prices are definitely worth it! I can’t wait to come back and try out all the other flavors & cones (variety to pick from, it’s awesome).
P.S VEGAN OPTIONS!! Also do yourself the favor and do not touch the bottom of your cup , my finger felt like it burned off because of the nitro lol. Nitro makes it super convenient to drive home and not have melted ice cream left....
