This location was great! I'm actually super confused about why people are complaining about the food prices lol the prices are actually really great for the quality of food you are getting. The serving sizes are not too small but not very large either! "Mexican cravings" is a great way to describe Lolis because it's a small pick up and go but with burst of flavor cafe and not some insane expensive restaurant where you get a 3 course meal.
I also don't know who insulted Lolis by comparing it to Chipotle but these are two completely different food flavors lol This is as inexpensive and as close to authentic that you are gonna get in the area.
Anyways, give them a try! It was a very comfortable environment and great flavors of food. You can also clearly see the kitchen and it was also very clean and neat and staff were all professional and dressed appropriately and I appreciate that.
Note: my only recommendation to you is that if you are a saucer like myself, bring whatever sauces please your soul because they aren't oily or juicy like most tacos. They are more on the dryside but still nice flavors! Just FYI for those who enjoy adding some extra sauce to...
Read moreSeeking a lunch on this Sunday, we [my wife, her sister and I] stopped by out of curiosity to see what/if any business was now in the location we frequented years ago when it was a breakfast joint run by a sweet French couple. After we learned they had retired, we never followed up with what happened next. Jump to today; we happily discovered Lolis, open even on a Sunday, and ventured in. The very pleasant & helpful fellow manning the counter explained a couple of dishes to us and we placed our orders. We then enjoyed a very nice meal in the wonderful little courtyard below. You all must give this place a try now if you haven't already. My one and only complaint [Yes, I have to have one!] was that--as I think one other reviewer has mentioned--the guacamole dip served alongside my Pastor Quesadilla was a bit thin (as was the salsa served with our chips) and too oily. Other than that, our food was fresh and very tasty. And the beers were good and...
Read moreAs a taco connoisseur I pride myself on my eye for good tacos and have traveled the world seeking the best. The three stars 🌟 given are not a bad review being that the average for most places are a two. There's a few factors that made me come to this conclusion first being the protein to tortilla ratio, I feel the tortilla overwhelmed the great tasting meat being too big for the amount of meat in each taco. Second is the sauce I usually judge it by their "spicest" while the flavor was there I would rate it a six out of ten in actual spiciness. Third while its great to say that your serving ribeye and might catch the eyes of the basic taco enthusiast the job could have been done with the more traditional arachera or diesmillo cut that is customary for asada while also helping avoidpieces of fat to end up in the taco and also being able to serve more beefed up tacos. I would still rate these as good but not the...
