Since the closing of my current AYCE hot pot place, we tried out Yum Yum since the ratings were good. Once we entered, it was much smaller than I thought but it was very modern. We were seated right away and asked for our drinks. We noticed that the conveyor belt was not working or in progress probably due to the current distancing guidelines so that wasn't really an issue. She also had presented us with a laminated paper to choose our broth, meats, and veggies. I don't know if this is regular practice or if it was part of their distancing guidelines but we were able to choose from the many varieties that they had. We waited probably another 15 minutes before we got our drinks and our order picked up. I didn't understand why since there were only 2 other tables - one was a 2 top and the other was a 4 top. Service there was definitely lacking on a Sunday early afternoon. We opted for the Chinese Szechuan Spicy Broth - with fatty beef, dumplings, sweet potato noodles and some fish sauce for seasoning the broth and I tell you - I was in hot pot Heaven. There was still a delay in service because we had to wait to order again on the laminated paper and that took another 10-15 minutes. It came on a train above the conveyor belt to your table so that was cool but if that was the case, I don't know why they didn't do the conveyor belt but I'm sure everyone has their reasons. Had the service been on par, it would have been a 5 star review. Everything else was perfect. I would highly recommend and will be back for sure!

For starters, the staff is incredibly friendly. They check up on you periodically and always make sure that you have enough room to eat as they come back to pick up the plates frequently. It was my first time and Sasha made sure to answer all of my questions. The plum wine was fantastic very sweet but also gave me a nice buzz. For my sauce I got the Thai base and played around with soy sauce, fish sauce, sesame oil, oyster sauce, peanut sauce, mushroom sauce, chili sauce, garlic, cilantro, and chives. I was literally in broth heaven. The longer the broth sat the better it got. I like my veggies pretty soft so I would add those in the beginning and then work my way up to the meats. They had a really nice selection of meats. My favorite was the lamb and the beef cut. Towards the end I started using more starch as well as seafood. This is when it had the best umami flavor. The starch also gave it a nice thickness. I was also incredibly impressed by the fact that they had taro. I could not stop grabbing a plate at the conveyor belt. The dumplings were also a favorite of mine. Towards the end though, I realized I bit off more than I could chew and had to tap out but I can’t wait to come back!

We went during their first day of operation. We will definitely have to go back once they get more established to determine a fairer review. However, this experience is based on day one operation as if they were open daily, be mindful.

Very clean atmosphere and restaurant with nice decor and new decorations. Their max max party size for a table is 6 individuals, we had 6 adults and 1 child and had to squeeze in since they did not have chairs. However, they did not charge us for the child, which was extremely thoughtful. The sauce selection is lacking in comparison to other restaurants, they have two displays for their sauces but are identical in each one. I feel like expanding their selection would be better suited. Their ice cream/dessert container was pretty good and well stocked with ice cream cones, sandwiches and bars.

The service is excellent, however when we went it was a bit empty and there were staff standing around. Even still, they did an amazing job with our orders and getting us extra meats and veggies as requested!

The biggest issue we had with this restaurant is the selection of food in terms of meats and vegetables were lacking in comparison to others that are more well established. I reason this as to them just opening and not being able to keep up with demand. The meat did not come fast enough on the conveyor belt and we had to constantly order from the server instead. For the price, I think it's reasonable but to keep up with the competition they need to expand their selection of meats/sauces/vegetables.

9/15 - Went back to give them another chance and this time was just as bad. First thing, our broth we ordered was bad and didn't taste like Tom yum. We brought this to our waiter attention and they charged me to change it, even though I hadn't put anything in or cooked with it yet. They also were lacking in ingredients. Much better places around here to go to and...

Fresh ingredients, but sadly very limited offerings compared to other hotpot establishments I've visited. It's not bad but not it for me. I had the schezuan broth and it was spicy but bland. Definitely need to get extra sauces and spices to dress up the broth in addition to creating your dipping sauce concoction. I like how clean and fresh all the ingredients are, but I wish there were more variety of options and that they kept a menu at the table that we can always refer to if needed. I also feel like they need more circulating air and maybe dehumidifier, or just lower their thermostat bc it was so hot, humid, & stuffy inside.. their front windows were actually fogging up. Overall, not bad if you're craving hotpot and it's nearby but I'm still in search for a great place I'd visit regularly. This was a 45min commute for me and can't say I'd be back anytime soon.

UPDATE!* returned 1/10/21 - exactly 1week later i think, and glad i did!* Came back to introduce my boyfriend to hotpot as another hotpot place i wanted to try was an even further drive.

This time i tried the Mala Soup base, SOO much better and actually had flavor other than spice, and even spicier!

Ambient temperature was much better and comfortable as well.

And the boyfriend is a big fan so I'm sure...
