Bahama Buck's - Temple — Restaurant in Temple

I was really hesitant to file a complaint against this temple location because I love Bahama buck’s ice cream and I didn’t want any issues with anyone. I would had hoped it would have gotten better. But as of 8-25-2023, I’ve had enough! I have complained and complained about the same issues over and over again but they seemed like they do not care. Every time I ask to speak to a manager about my issues it seems like the manager is never around.

I have been coming to Bahama Bucks for about a year or two and have always gotten the same thing. I would always order a baby cookies and cream ice cream cup. Specifically just the ice cream, Oreo cookie crumbles, and the Oreo cream on top.

Almost every time I come in there is a problem. Either I would try to use the free products that appear on my app which never registers when I’m at the front register or they will over charge me different prices on the same ice cream cup I always order. I think I may have gotten a small one or two times but most of the time I will get a baby cup. I have it all on my bank statement of what they have been charging me… $3.99 $5.93, $5.28, $4.96, $6.69

After tonight 8-25-2023 at 9:33pm, when the young African American girl charged me $6.69 and told me that it depends on the person on what they may charge, I got very upset. its extremely irritating when you order a snowcone with strawberry icecream and dont find out until you get to the bottom that they gave you vanilla or something else.

I asked for strawberry because i wanted strawberry. Please get it together.

Edit: just saw the reply so i called to speak to Pauline, the girls who answered had an attitude and were zero help. I said i needed to speak to Pauline and the first girl said “shes not here.” I said okay do you know if shell be back in a few hours or tomorrow, she said very dry “i dont know.” I said okay, i was just calling because she told me to, then the girl got someone else. The other lady got on the phone with the same dry attitude and said “you have a question.” I said um is this Pauline, she said no, so then i said okay she said for me to call so can i leave my number for her to call me back, she takes it, doesnt ask for my name or anything and just says okay.

Pauline, this is more than dropping the ball. Customer service is everything and if they are the same people who were there when my order was messed up, i understand why. Dont worry about calling back, if i want bahama bucks i will wait until i go back to Houston or find another location. I will not be returning here.

My four star rating is based upon the quality of the product and limited interaction with the staff. Temple Texas is starved for unique vendors, because any time there is something new, there will be a line for days on end. I do not quite get the hoopla over Bahama Buck's, but I thought the Bahama Pina Colada was as good or better than any other non-alcoholic version I have tried. What I specifically appreciated was a distinct lack over-powering sweetness or artificial flavor. Does not mean the drinks do not contain syrups or something artificial, but there was no sense of being too much or too sweet, and there is fruit mixed into the drink which imparts a nice texture for something like a Pina Colada. The interaction with the staff was quick, but pleasant. Bahama Buck's might warrant a 5 stars review, but 5 of 5 is supposed to be reserved for the very best or you "loved it" type of experiences.
