La Roma Pizza & Subs — Restaurant in Temple

If I could give this place zero stars I would. This is ridiculous. I waited a whole hour almost for my order and when I got it, I asked for a manager she said that he was available and then turns around and tells me he’s not available when she sees that I’m irritated. This was a Favor order also so this wasn’t just me irritated. My customer was irritated and when I told them that this is ridiculous they sat there and blamed it all on me. That’s ridiculous. How is this my fault it was the crew that was working on the date. 11/22/24 at 8:30 pm they were so disrespectful. I hope you pull back the cameras and watch them as they talk to me so rudely saying that they can’t get a manager and blaming me for everything. I will never come back to this place. Honestly, I’ve never even been to this place until I got this Favor order which was a huge mistake because they just ruined my whole night. I don’t understand how you blame someone for a pizza whenever they’re the ones that work there and the pizza took a whole hour for them to make, and it was completely dead. There was no one in the store but me so that’s quite ridiculous coming from someone who actually worked at Domino’s when it was very, very busy and none of our orders took an hour to do so. I hope this owner sees this and realizes that that crew that night has horrible customer service. In the beginning, I was nice, but after they blamed me for everything who wouldn’t react To that like obviously I’m gonna defend myself because I know that ain’t my fault and then I also heard them going in the back talking crap saying she says she’s been waiting here for an hour Said I have proof if y’all need to see it also they told me I could of reassigned it if I wanted too like they know what they are talking about, and I can’t reassign it without it affecting me and my score my ratings go down if you do that and when that happens I don’t get good offers for orders so it makes me loose money so they need to stop acting like they know what they are talking about when it comes to favor and delivery service.

I've tried to eat from this establishment just 2 times. Once for delivery on Superbowl Sunday. Then i tried to just go get take out from them again yesterday!!!..... Super bowl Sunday was horrible. I had ordered a med chz pizza. Eggplant Parmesan, and 2 side salads. The pizza was cold! The eggplant Parmesan was overheated to many times and they forgot the salads. By the time the delivery driver came back with everything he was a complete inconsiderate ass!! I had asked for condiments and was told they don't do that... When I called to speak with a manager, I was hung up on by the owner for wanting my money back for the horrible experience and poor food I had received. Then when returning my food he tried to make it right with a large pizza. No I'm good!!! So yesterday I figured maybe it was just the people that day working and tried to go in and take it home. No!!!!!! The young man who was the cashier at the time took care of everything politely and everything was going good. Until he left; and then it was just the cook, who was "the manager at the time". I watched him place the frozen beef into a cambro (container for meat) mess with other foods that I couldn't see behind the wall, come to the front to cash people out at the window, get them a fountain drink with the same dirty hands he was messing with the meat with put it back into the icebox, (all without gloves, so now everything was contaminated!!and yes I do know your not required to have gloves in some establishments!! As long as they wash their damn hands!!!!!) Then he proceeded to continue to make MY pizza! I watched patiently to see if he would wash his hands. Nothing!! So I asked if that was my food he was working on, he replied yes. I simply asked him to toss it and wash his hands, I didn't appreciate him cross contaminating everything to the icebox and what not but he was in such disbelief that I had spoke up and replied that he only touched the ice scoop; He kept trying to justify his doing and was not getting anywhere, I've had my manager food safety certificate for over 3 years now!! I have worked in many places that know common since, just to wash your hands!!!!! Hope everyone enjoyed the raw meat ice from 02/07/2018!!!!! Needs some serious...

I give this place 2 stars because I thought 1 star was too few only for the reason that when reviewing 1 star is the only option for what relates to a completely horrific experience. In this case it wasn't horrific but it was extremely underwhelming! You know how you save up all week for that little splurge indulging in something you don't normally have? Well we found ourselves shopping for a new place to enjoy our Saturday splurge and came across La Roma on our local Waitr app and thought it looked like a great little local pizza joint - how could it be bad!? It didn't take long to find out. We ordered a cheesesteak and a gyro - 2 classics you can't go wrong with! Well evidently you can - at least at La Roma. The cheesesteak - looking for that classic tender steak piled high with those perfectly soft yet flavorful onions and peppers smothered in that gooey cheese....NOT what we got from La Roma! The peppers were still snapping, almost raw, I had to open the overly toasted hoagie roll to even find the steak and the cheese was almost non-existent! I couldn't believe I saved my splurge day for THIS! Moving on to the classic gyro where you look for that soft warm pita stuffed with tons of juicy, moist lamb and fresh crisp veggies dripping in that tangy cucumber dill loaded tzatziki sauce with the perfect touch of lemon....Not from La Roma! The first thing I had to do was (again) open the bread to find if there was even any meat at all or did they make me some vegetarian version. It was dry and almost seemed to be like reheated frozen slices of lamb and not something that spent all day roasted on a vertical spit. Oh and what about that soft warm pita - TOUGH...so disappointing! I eat bread maybe once a week and this just broke my heart! The veggies were under dressed and the tzatziki sauce was more yogurt and no seasoning from that beautiful cucumber dill and lemon and just let us down. We tried 2 classics and unfortunately will not be going back to try anything else. I can't risk it and neither should you. I encourage you to find somewhere else...Domino's Pizza would be better...
