Nic & Ned's Scoop Shop — Restaurant in Temple

There isn't a page for the Belton location yet so I'm leaving it here. This was our 1st time with this business at either location. We understand the Belton location just opened. We came in on Sunday at 530 and there were 2 young girls working. They didn't greet us. We looked around and were unsure what to get. We asked about trying a sole cause there is a lot of flavors. They told us they don't offer samples. As a party of 4 we were unsure of what to get. I had said to one of the employees that's kind of crazy that we can't get samples. I said I'd hate to spend 5-7 dollars on something that I won't like. Then the one said they didn't have spoons for samples. So now I'm thinking do you or don't you offer samples? Anyways we ordered 3 ice creams and they were good. The portion size was ok. There wasn't a menu with prices, nothing on the walls, or any music playing or anything. It was just kind of awkward cause they weren't friendly and seemed very shy. I get it, but you are in customer service. We would maybe try again in Temple or Belton later once they get established. For just having opening day we were just disappointed, it felt unfinished as the space was awkward and...

Some great ice cream!! The employee was very nice and gave opinions about which flavors they liked best or suggested. We got 4 different flavors and all of them were great. We will be back!

My family came by after dinner at another restaurant on site. Super cool little setup they have with different restaurants, the ice cream shop, soda shop and the outdoor seating area. Good to know is that the outdoor seating is fully fenced in, to include the small play set for kiddos. Mosquitos were out though, so bring a thermacell or bug spray. Stopped by with the fam on a warm afternoon just looking to cool off with some cold treats but stumped upon a gem of an ice cream shop!

From traditional vanilla or strawberry, to the Fat Elvis or Kitty Kitty Bang Bang, flavors are unique, creamy and SO delicious. You have to get the home made waffle cone!
