Mahalo Coffee Roasters — Restaurant in Tennessee

I genuinely love this coffee shop! I believe the coffee is always great! My go to is either and iced americano or an iced coconut mocha with oatmilk! And I usually get a cheddar scone! There are some things I’d like to see different here though! With this being one of the only “real” local coffee shops in our area, I only want it to flourish!!

I would recommend adding more vegetarian options for breakfast. My boyfriend and I don’t eat pork specifically and are primarily plant based. So while we love the pastries and cheddar scones, we’d love to see more filling food options that aren’t meat based.

I would also love to see more variety in their not coffee menu. My boyfriend doesn’t like coffee and it’s always a struggle going to shops and them not really having anything there. We both love cafes and this Mahalo is close to us so we want to keep coming! Maybe possibly adding some kombucha to your cooler, or doing more research on teas and how to make them special just like a coffee beverage from here❤️. Or having more “mocktail” style drinks. You guys had a summer soda with matcha and pineapple last year and that was really enjoyable! So maybe some things like that?

Overall, we LOVE this cafe! I hope to see some improvements in the future! You guys...

Not impressed. Had their coffee at another coffee shop and thought maybe it was just the way that other coffee shop made it as to why I didn't like it so I thought is try the source.... Unfortunately, I still cannot say anything good. My cappuccino was more milk than anything, even though I ordered a cappuccino with dry foam. The micro-foam was anything but micro. Even more disappointing was when I took the lid off to compare to my husband's he had decent micro-foam and even some latte art going on there. Since mine was no where near a cappuccino the taste was off so I handed the cup to my husband to drink. I also tried an Americano. Maybe it's because I'm used to a double shot 8oz Americano, but I couldn't taste much of the espresso in the 10-12oz offered. I thought that since they pull a 40g double shot that amount would have offset the increase in water. ...

Updated review: I heard they were recently under new owners. Came in on 9/22/2023, & things have gone downhill quite a bit since they first opened &/or I last visited. It took forever for them to take my order (they weren't busy just chatting w/ ea other in kitchen). Cappuccino wasn't hot, chai didn't have much flavor. The GF muffin was really dry & they don't keep butter on hand (but lots of bread items, ha) Order was $12 & a waste of $$ as I tossed both in trash. No music playing, door squeaks & bangs shut crazy loud, sadly not a positive experience & wasted trip here.
