I've been going here occasionally since the one in Jupiter closed. It's not nearly as good as the Jupiter restaurant was.

The food is mediocre and inconsistent here.

The bartender who handles take out orders is rude. I ordered extra salsa to go and he gave me 16 oz of rotten salsa. I know it was intentional because the salsa that came in the little cups with my order was fresh and delicious. But the bartender didn't like being troubled to add on to the order when I ordered the extra salsa. He just wanted to tend to his regulars. When I tasted the salsa from the 16oz cup at home I could instantly tell it old salsa. It tasted like it had turned bad 3 days ago with a rancid carbonated taste and a mushy consistency. This was very disappointing because the salsa is the best thing this restaurant makes. The rest of their "Mexican" food is bland and basic.

I'm tempted to go back and return it but instead I'll just save my time and never go back. There are MUCH better Mexican restaurants...

The low rating today is from a very bad experience today only.

A staff member was brushing the dust from a ceiling vent located in the middle of the open dining room where we were sitting, while we were actually eating lunch. Not just wiping it down, using a hard bristle brush to brush the dust out of the cracks and crevices. When I mentioned this to the server, instead of stopping, I was given the option of moving to another table in the same open dining room. When I asked for him to stop, he did.

There was a piece of thin metal cooked into a piece of chicken which my guest bit into. When I showed the server, she went into the kitchen and came back to inform me the metal was from a scouring brush used in the kitchen. Not knowing if there was more metal in our food, neither of us could continue eating. She said she will only remove my meal from the bill.

I will not be returning to...

This place has really gone down hill. There were only 3-4 tables when we stopped in today for a late lunch. The waitress was not friendly and not attentive.

Chips and salsa were mediocre and the cheese dip blah. When the food came it was awful. We each ate about a third of our plate before we admitted that it really was bad. When the waitress came back we told her the food wasn't satisfactory.(we actually said bad!). She offered to get the manager. She returned with the check and they had taken 15% off one beer! 60 cents! We asked again for the manager. He said that was the best he could do. We finally got him to take one entree off.

The our waitress returned to complain we had gotten her in trouble and 'it want her fault' (5x's)t and that we were JUST TRYING TO GET FREE FOOD!!!!!

Don't waste your time - bad service, -bad food and a bad attitude. I'm in this area a few times a year and I will...

I went in expecting an average Mexican restaurant, and it met up with my expectations. Firstly, the staple crop of Mexican restaurants (chips and salsa) tasted mediocre. Nothing above the average. I ordered a combination (#10 I believe) which was 2 enchiladas filled with fajita-like veggies and Mexican rice and beans on the side. The enchiladas tasted pretty good (were also nice and piping hot) but were nothing expectional. The Mexican rice was okay but could have used more seasoning. The beans tasted average too. The service was pretty average too. All that said and done, the reason I'm giving this 4 stars instead of 3 is because of the queso. Everything seems average until I tried some of their special queso. The cheesy taste in my mouth with a warm tortilla chip was just plain delicious. Conclusion: this is your average Mexican restaurant. But if you go there, definitely try the queso.

I would love to give them a 5 star. The atmosphere was nice. But sadly, the margaritas had a weird taste. I even started to drink it out of the straw to get it down. Didn't feel anything from it. She took our drink order so fast and left, we couldn't even tell her to shelf liquor. My chimichanga was so soggy. The meat had a good flavor. My hubby enjoyed the chicken fajitas. He was going ummm the whole time I'm trying to cut into the soggy chimchanga. We had to ask for silverware when our dinner came. Didn't see the waitress much. She never came back to check on us. When traveling the area again.... this place we'll pass on. Such a shame.
