ROBERT WAS THE WORST MANAGER/WAITER I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED IN OVER 70 YEARS!! ROBERT THE RESTAURANT RUINER.
I am compelled to share the shocking and utterly disappointing experience my daughter and her friend endured at Buco, a restaurant they had considered a favorite and frequented bi-weekly. This review stems from an incident that occurred during what was meant to be a joyous celebration of my daughter's birthday. Despite being loyal customers who regularly patronize Buco, my daughter and her friend were asked BY ROBERT to " GIVE UP THE TABLE AND FINISH EATING OUTSIDE " in the middle of their birthday dinner. The lack of explanation for such a drastic action left them both stunned and embarrassed on what should have been a special occasion. It is disheartening to witness the complete disregard for loyal customers who had chosen Buco as their preferred dining destination.
Adding insult to injury, the behavior exhibited by Robert, a staff member, was nothing short of appalling. Not only did he fail to provide any explanation for their removal, but he also displayed a shocking lack of interest in collecting the bill. The overall treatment they received was not only unprofessional but left them feeling worthless and disrespected during what should have been a memorable celebration. ROBERT never came outside to collect the credit card payment for the meal they shouldn't have had to pay, SO they went inside to look for him where he was no where to be found. He finally appeared after a significant amount of time and began running the card, then ran away to the kitchen, to start serving food for other tables- after he took the credit card and left it sitting in the machine in front of them. Does he have mental problems?? This is completely unreasonable and blatantly ignorant!
As a concerned parent and customer, I strongly urge the management of Buco to thoroughly investigate this incident and ROBERT WHO CLEARLY HAS A HISTORY OF TARGETING WOMEN AND KICKING THEM OUT!!! (LOOK AT PAST 1 STAR REVIEWS)
Celebrating a birthday should be a positive and uplifting experience, not tarnished by the mistreatment of patrons. It is my sincere hope that Buco reassesses its commitment to customer service and ensures that no other customers, especially loyal ones, have to endure such a distressing and...
Read moreI really don’t like writing negative reviews when it comes to taking the time of my day, but after an incident with Robert/Manager, I felt compelled to share my experience to warn other women/locals in the area-especially after seeing in other past Google reviews this is repeat offender behavior for the past year!
I’ve been coming to buco for quite sometime and was out to dinner with some friends when he came to our table as we were eating (food still on the plate etc) and asked us point blank “can you take your meal and finish outside.” When asked this, my friends and I were shell-shocked to say the least, but we took our plates (with no assistance from him) & the checkbook that he kept pushing on us (we had not asked for the check but he kept passive aggressively placing it on the table (as if to indirectly communicate “leave so I can turn the table”). There are two sections for outside seating at Buco and he had us sit in the section on the sidewalk vs the section outside with heated lamps and closed patio screening. After about 15-20 mins waiting for Robert to come back and check on us, we decided to come inside and pay the bill as the night had been ruined. To our embarrassment, the table he asked us to vacate was empty and hadn’t been in use in the time we had left it! We tried to flag him but he looked right at us, dismissed us, and then went in the other direction to help other tables. Again, we tried to pay and finally he took the card and went on to do other things in the kitchen! A huge sign of disrespect, as I didn’t feel comfortable with the credit card being left unattended. He finally came back and put the credit card on the table without so much as a “sorry for making you give up your table for nothing” or “have a nice night after I ruined it”. I did feel that his treatment was misogynistic as I noticed he would acknowledge only the men in the restaurant or would check up to make sure their meals are okay.
In conclusion, unless the owner considers reevaluating who they have representing the restaurant and makes some staffing changes I would suggest choosing another restaurant to spend your money, especially in this economy. After the treatment of last night, it left a sour taste in my mouth and the everlasting impression of: ROBERT THE GRINCH WHO RUINED...
Read moreI had a terrible experience and after reading a lot of Reviews from Manager Robert and his behavior I felt the need to share my experience. I started training at Buco’s as a Server/Bartender on Tuesday 3/12/24 but due to the treatment of the Manager Robert I left the restaurant early after my third shift. He threw his hands in my face, because I had asked him for questions about a check and needed his help, he was rude and disrespectful instead all evening. He saw me struggling with the Milk frothing and started yelling at me that I burnt the milk and gave me an attitude instead of helping. A Manager is supposed to help his employees to make the restaurant run more smoothly while the owner is not present but he is just straight up nasty to all employees there. I’ve heard other's tell me a lot of stories and how he does this to everybody but they just swallow the disrespect but I’m not that kind of person. A good leader who sees their new trainees struggle come up and offer help and guidance not yell at you in front of customers. One of the Chefs even came up to me asking why he’s being a bully because they saw it happening too. The Bartender usually takes care of the bar and high tops right next to the bar or out front. But Robert had given the table to another server because he was busy, but that server saw me only having 2 tables so she tried to be sweet and offered me the table which I gladly accepted, because I learn by doing. Robert saw that I started taking care of this table and came up to me with his Frankenstein eyes and attitude and said the high tops belong to the bar! Okay well then why are you giving them away? I told him the server had given the table to me. He instead went to her and fried her to almost tears. She came up to me and apologized!!! Why is she apologizing? Robert seems like a true narcissistic woman hater!
I am writing this here not because I want to drag the restaurant in the mud, I just want to make the owner aware because he straight up ignored my text message with said concerns. I truly believe that although this Robert has been there for quite a while he needs to go for the restaurants sake. It just take one person like me who’s a bit quicker in reaction to record his behavior and make a report for hostile work...
