So today I ordered a "Jimbo's Style Pizza" which comes with spinach, feta, onions, mozzarella, spiced meat, and Alfredo sauce. I ordered from Jimbo's a week ago and the food was pretty good so perhaps today was a speedbump but it was one hell of a speedbump. I'm staying at the Holiday Inn in Tewksbury. Last week they came to my door. Today I received a call asking to meet him out front. Okay it's Friday, perhaps they're busy. I'll let that slide. He reaches into the back seat and hands me a dented "in the top" pizza box and not wearing a face mask. Personally I'm not concerned with the facemask because I have mine on but if you work with food perhaps you should follow Massachusetts law but I'm not a politician so I'll get back to the food review. I get my food into my room and here's where my pizza fell off the train tracks. The amount of grease on the TOP of the pizza box was insane. I expect a little grease on the bottom of the box but not the top. I will enclose photos. I asked for a little extra crispy crust and that was ignored. The worst part of the pizza was the "spiced meat" which the girl said was a combination of lamb and hamburger which she stated is what they add into their Gyro's. The meat while spicy was dry as could be. I dropped a piece into the pizza box and it made a thud sound. That's how stiff the meat was. Also the onions were RAW. I did receive the paper plates, oregano and hot pepper that I asked for which was nice. This will be my first and only time ordering Pizza from Jimbo's. Perhaps their signature food is their roast beef and subs. I will NEVER order pizza from here again. So my first order was good last week, this one was awful, you get one more chance Jimbo's so I hope you learn from this post because I will post my next meal on here as well. My wife and I used to go here frequently as it was our “go-to” sub shop. Late summer early fall of 2017 we started to notice a decrease in the quality of the food. First it was the “famous” Roast Beef. What used to be a quality roast beef sandwich quickly turned into a chewy piece of bland supermarket deli roast beef. We live 8 minutes away and used to have the option to have our food delivered. At some point that apparently changed and we needed to pick it up. As it’s only 8 minutes away not a huge inconvenience but an inconvenience nonetheless. We started getting incorrect orders. Items missing on sandwiches. Salads without the meat we asked for or missing the salad dressing. The first few times I would drive back and get it fixed. This most recent visit when my sandwich was missing two ingredients and I was given the incorrect salad dressing I had asked for my money back. After a few minutes of arguing over the phone they finally agreed to send the driver to my house to give me my money back. The driver showed up and demanded I show him the uneaten sandwich which was already in the garbage. When I told him it was in the trash he still wanted to see it. I pulled it out of the trash and showed it to him and he still tried to argue with me. I told him to give me my money back and to please leave. Needless to say but I won’t be going back here anymore and I’m sure you could do better with one of the many sub shops...
Read moreCashier was friendly. However when seafood plate order came out she complained to staff there was too much food in container for her to close. I said if that's my order don't close container. It amazes me how many fried food places close container so moisture builds up and food get soggy. Anyway, a man reached in container, grabbed a bunch of onion rings and handed to a woman who put back in fry basket. I said something to cashier that they just took part of my order and she said it was because she couldn't close container. She then proceeded to close container and put rubber band on it to keep closed, despite my request. I told her I'm not happy about what they did and would be first and last time there. So they gyp people of order quantity because they can't close container instead of laying food down...
