Lisa's Family Pizzeria — Restaurant in Tewksbury

I just want to say that my family are I are newer to the Tewksbury community as we just bought our first home here during the summertime. Since we’ve been here we’ve tried a handful of really good restaurants and pizza places.

Lisa’s Family Pizza however, has been our favorite so far. We actually just ordered a large cheese pizza from there and as my family and I were eating it, I said out loud—-this is a really good slice of pizza, like really good 😂 My fiancé then said the same thing. Following along, my daughter agreed. The service was good, people were friendly. I liked the crust overall and the cheese pizza we ordered was pretty good.

The Hawaiian pizza we ordered was rather run of the mill, not bad but nothing to write home about. The ham wasn't soggy, which is a point in it's favor.

Their margherita pizza was pretty bad. What I expected was a chunky red pizza topped with herbs, maybe some parmesan, and a bit of fresh mozzarella sprinkled or laid across the pie. What I got was a basic cheese pizza with some tomato slices tossed on top, some mozzarella slices tossed on top of those, and some whole leaves of basil hidden under the cheese. It was uninspired, at best, like someone had heard about it but had never eaten one, seen one, or even read a recipe.

Only reason i'm rating this a three, food was great, staff was very nice but my shirt was ruined. I went to Lisa's to grab food between softball games Thursday night 8/13/15 and when i returned to the softball field I noticed about 7 spots of blue ink on my shirt. I thought about it and I didn't even touch a pen all day, I don't own blue pens and I paid in cash, so no need for signing. The restaurant's tables were slightly crumby and there were no other patrons in the dining area. The ink splatters may have come from when I was standing at the counter or sitting at the table. This happened to my brand new grey Ralph Lauren custom fit Polo shirt. Due to being out and nowhere near my house the ink has had time to set in.
