Nice deli with a small market inside just off 40. Amanda was really helpful and friendly as she went around to check on everyone. Diane had the Hot Croissant and I had the queche Lorraine with chicken and rice soup. My quiche was a even mix of flavors with spinach, ham, bacon and Swiss cheese 9n a tasty flaky crust. My only complaint was that the serving was a bit small. The soup was called creamy but was thin like chicken noodle soup. I never found any chicken however, it was very good. QUICK UPDATE; After mentioning the lack of chicken to Amanda, she checked the batch and the cook had messed up so she refunded the soup and gave us one of their famous strawberry cream cupcakes. Now that's service you just don't see anymore! Diane. The house baked croissant was super light and flaky, with a wonderful buttery taste. The ham and Swiss cheese were just the right amount and great flavor together. It comes with Lay's potato chips, but I substitutes Miss Vicky's they had at the counter.😊 FYI: They do have a take home dinner case that you can get to eat at the restaurant but they don't state that on the menu. Tried to order two of the lunch specials, was told it was $18+, assumed that was the cost of two lunches. Turns out, the lady accidentally only ordered one. One lunch special, and two drinks for $18+. I won’t be going back due to the pricing, but the food was decent enough.

Edit to respond to the reply: Would have been great to know the price of the meal I was buying, wouldn’t have complained about the overpriced sandwich and would have just complained about the overpriced drinks I purchased instead. All good to let me know the Monte Cristo was only 11.99, frankly would have just bought that and been happy with it. Unfortunately, I don’t see any prices on your menu that would allow me to make an informed decision ahead of time, so I can only be grateful that you informed me after the fact! I am amazed by the lack of pride, if going to be priced like a 5 star restaurant you would think the food would be cooked right. served right. Especially when someone buys the same thing each week. You would think after ordering something the same every week and when we go to pick up its missing something every time. It is clear to us now the owner of this place really does not care about losing a customer that buys from them weekly. Businesses are supposed to make money they just lost my business today and all of my family in this town, I know it does not matter to owner but I live in Texarkana, my wife and I have 13 kids and 9 grandkids so far, "LOL" they all live in Texarkana and will not do business with Julies Deli, on my account that's not good for any business...
