Shorty's Donuts — Restaurant in Texarkana

This place is old fashioned donut shop they're open at a split shift time during the day they get a lot of local business with police officers . A farmer that lives down the road and someone that leaves a very simple life as myself the donuts are absolutely worth a drive in miles! Bring the Family and stay around Texarkana long enough for LUNCH YOU SHOULD TRY SHORTY'S CHEESEBURGER I'VE ONLY ATE ONE I TRIED ABOUT A YEAR AGO WHEN I HAD A FRIEND TO GO PICK ME UP A CHEESEBURGER THERE THINKING IT WAS A LITTLE TOO EXPENSIVE FOR MY BURGER AND FRIES I TOOK THE FIRST BITE OF THAT DELICIOUS CHEESEBURGER MEMORIES FROM MY CHILDHOOD CAME FLOWING BACK WHILE RIDING WITH MY siblings ON HWY 71 the old Creamery / Hamburger Stop was as Good as it got TODAY FOR ME FINDING THIS ATMOSPHERE OF PEOPLE FLAVOR OF THE FOOD TETANUS SHOT A OLD SHOPPING CENTER STILL EXIST THANK YOU SHORTIES FOR THAT EXPERIENCE BUT I EAT THE DONUTS OFTEN AT LEAST TWICE A MONTH WHAT IS THERE MORE IF I COULD I DON'T HAVE THE FUNDS I LIVE OFF OF FIXED-INCOME. We eat here almost weekly and over the last few months this place has quickly gone downhill. I support local small businesses and love diners, but this last visit was horrible. I've recommended Shorty's to many people and I have to stop until yall pick up the slack.

We brought family to the diner for their first time. Overall this visit was rife with problems including filthy tables and restrooms, understaffed wait staff (having to be overly apologetic for the problems) and unprepared kitchen that ran out of ingredients for our orders.

We waited 20 minutes for the waitress to take our orders. 10 minutes after that she came back to our table to tell us that they had run out of eggs and it would be another 15 or so. In total we waited over an hour to eat and our meal was incomplete when it arrived.

We want to see this establishment succeed. Don't make it hard for your customer base...

Update It's been one of my go to places since the first review.

If we were eating just the rate of the food it'd be higher. No complaints for the service by the ladies taking the orders, as they were sweet.

We ordered a double bacon cheeseburger plain and dry and a burger no onions and well done fries.

Fries were not well done, burger has lots of onions and the double bacon was not plain or dry. Exchanged the bacon burger, got a new one made but by the time we left with our to go order, we noticed there was no bacon.

That being said, the food was good and tasty, but normally I'd give less than 3 stars for every order being wrong.

Maybe I'll give them another shot, as the food was good, but I would not recommend to go order, perhaps it's better to eat in to get what you order and pay for.
