Southern Tropics Shaved Ice is a great secret that lucky folks find just off of State Line. Frankly, I think this has got to be the best place for shaved ice in Texarkana.

The Raney family owns and operates this shaved ice joint, and they honestly do a great job of it. Southern Tropics Shaved Ice is a real delight in our heat and humidity. It's been a success year after year, for maybe a decade or longer now. That's, at least in part because of the shop's owners. Good people. Visitors should expect to see members of the Raney family on-site, eagerly greeting customers or making up delicious shaved ice treats while customers wait at picnic tables just beyond the front window.

These are not your snow cones from 15 years ago, though. These are shaved ice treats, and they really beat the heat with all that delicious and sweet.

Stop by, and get a gander at the menu of literally hundreds of possible flavors and flavor combinations. Choose from several different sizes, too.
