My husband and I went to Baytown Seafood Restaurant on June 25, 2023, in the evening. If I could assign less than a one-star rating, I would. The service was deplorable; the food was subpar. My husband asked about a seafood sampler. There was none. Ok, no problem. Then he asked if he could order scallops and fish. No, he could not. He would have to order two or three different entrees to get what he wanted. He ordered two crab cakes, initially. My food arrived; his crab cakes did not. Also, my food arrived prior to my salad. When asked about the salad, the server said she was not sure that I wanted it or not because I had ordered it with no onions and no dressing. That did not mean I did not want the salad. Oh my...She went to get the salad. Meanwhile, my husband saw another person's order that looked appealing and asked the server what it was (catfish and shrimp). He ordered the same. When it arrived, the portion size was a disappointment... He was over the dining experience by this point and asked for a takeout box. The server walked away to get one. I had to call her back to get me a second takeout box AND to let her know that since the salad never arrived, I would like for her to remove the baked potato from the bill--to compensate for the salad. She informed me that she could not do that, and she could bring me a salad to go. I asked for a manager at this point. She went to get the manager who arrived at the table to ask if "everything were ok." I said, "I think we both know that everything is not ok." Incidentally, I had heard the server and the manager discussing the situation behind me prior to her sauntering over to our table. I then made my request of the manager. She explained to me that the owners would not allow her to remove the baked potato from the bill in lieu of the missing salad. She offered an insincere, "I'm sorry," to which I replied, "We know that you are not truly sorry." At some point she offered a free dessert...to compensate for a missing salad...but could not substitute a potato for a missing salad...but could provide a dessert that cost the owner money...makes sense, right? Realizing the lack of care and concern for customer service, I asked her for the owner's name and number. She informed me that she could not provide that information. Hmmm. Any reputable business has an owner and phone number… When we went to check out, the server pecked and punched buttons on the register. From the kitchen entrance area, I heard indistinct chatter that included "is that the lady," meaning me, of course, and the next thing I know, the bill is reduced by approximately two dollars. What changed? At the register, I noticed a handwritten sign with the words "receipt" and "recieved." I took a pen, corrected the misspelled word "recieved" to the CORRECT spelling "received," and was chastised by the manager who said, "Ma'am, please do not write on our signs." I called back to her, "I am correcting it for you," or words to that effect. It summed up the ghetto dining experience rather nicely. If you own this restaurant, please reach out to me and let us have a discussion. I notice that people who dare speak against this business are never acknowledged. Patrons afford you the opportunity to own this establishment. You might want to consider the feedback they...

The manager lousinda sux. Bad service really bad service. I asked the waiter if you can ask the chef to make me some pico de Gallo. They don’t have this on the menu but they always make it for me at all of the other Baytown seafood. The manager came up to me and Told me that they could not do it because it is not on the menu. I responded by telling her they always make it for me. She asked me how do they always make it for me so I explain to her the process of making it. I didn’t proceeded to tell her do you have tomatoes onions jalapeños and cilantro. She said yes I said that’s all you need to do to make it. She then said we cannot make it so I said OK never mind. I didn’t ask the waiter to bring me slices of onion and tomato and jalapeño and cilantro. He did so she came back out and said we are going to have to charge you it is not free. So I said that’s fine I don’t want free food I like to pay for my food. I’m not asking for anything free. So I literally sat there with my life and made me some pico de gallo on the table. Then they brought our food and the rice was cold. So we had to ask them to warm it up again plus I asked for two fillets and they only brought me one. I will never go back to that seafood place again. I’m going to stick with the one in Pasadena. I’ve never had that kind of problem over there. I wish I could show the picture of me...

My foster daughter had been exceptionally good on Tuesday June 11th so I decided to treat her to a sit down meal in a nice restaurant. It was about 5:30-6:00 in the evening. I am sad to say that I was extremely disappointed in every aspect of the meal. The iced tea tasted old, the Ranch dressing was very sweet so I asked for Blue cheese and it was also very sweet. The shrimp cocktail looked nice but I had to grind my teeth to get a bite, very tough. The cocktail sauce was SHOCKINGLY HOT/SPICY. I enjoy a good spicy sauce but this was off the chart. When I picked up a piece of fish and brought it towards my mouth the smell was so bad I did not eat any of it. The crab cake was immitation meat and sub par. The shrimp was fried in some kind of orange colored batter that I have never seen before. I decided that I would not even try them given the quality of everything else. My foster daughter is 4 so we shared a seafood platter and shrimp cocktail. It cost $30 for a meal I would never have again. When checking out I told the 2 servers at the register how very disappointed I was in EVERYTHING. The response I received was as bad as the meal. "Oh thats too bad ." I have spoken to several people about our experience and they all said we should have been compensated in some way but we were not. I will NEVER grace their...

This was the worst experience I’ve had with this company. I ordered a fish poor boy and some onion rings. I should’ve got the hint when the person couldn’t tell me about the onion ring rings. When I got it home the fish and onion rings were cold. There was just 2 pieces of fish thrown on the bread. No mayo or tartar sauce on the bread. The veggies they had on the side. I have to admit that was the only thing I liked and actually enjoyed. I made a salad out of it because they were so fresh. If I even want a great fish sandwich I will keep going to Johnnies on Texas Ave. In Texas City. I will think twice before coming back here:

For starters we were sat by the host and waited about 15 min before anyone took our drink order. I ordered a shrimp cocktail but wasnt informed that they didnt have any crakers until after the food came out. Some common courtesy would have been nice. The shrimp had a weird texture & flavor like it was going bad, it tasted awful. When we complained about the shrimp the waitress said there wasnt anything they could do. We kept having to ask the waitress for things that were supposed to be in the order already. Personally I wont be coming back, you can bet 50/50 on food poisoning when eating here.
