I would give this place zero stars, but since I have to select, one is all they get. I have been to applebees many times in the past and have never experienced this type of treatment in my life. Not here or anywhere. I am a single mother of three children and we don't eat out much because I cook alot at home, but there are times when I treat us to a nice meal at a nice family restaurant. This particular day was suppose to be a treat and turned out very upsetting. Applebee's food isn't great, but it's okay sometimes when u can't afford better. I took my two younger kids (16 and 2 years) to eat at Applebee's restaurant in Crosby, TX where I was later joined by my 19 year old step son. For the most part we were having a good time until we got ready to leave. We were blocked at the door by two waitresses who wrongfully accused me and my son of stealing their tablet device that sits on the tables, thats used to play games or order your meal. They refused to move from in front of the door. Told us we could not leave until we gave their tablet back. My family was verbally assaulted, wrongfully accused, publicly insulted and discriminated to mention the least. Waitresses refused to get a manager, at that time I had to force my way through the two waitresses to get out the door, at which time I called the police. I felt like i was in my younger age at a night club not a restaurant. My two year old was crying and screaming becsuse she doesnt know whats going on, My teenagers are upset and I'm trying my best to keep everyone calm. The manager never came out to assess the situation. The police finally shows up on the scene, questions everyone, told me they could not pull up the video, so he proceeded to write my report because I told him I was pressing charges. This situation was very upsetting. I pray that my children can move forward from this, but I know this experience they will never forget. I pray this does not happen to anyone else. Very Bad...
Read moreHorrible experience, ordered for curbside. No one ever came out after waiting 15 min. ZERO customer service. I don't know how they are still operating after what I saw and experienced. I understand we're all human, and we might be having a bad day, but this day, I'm not sure what was happening. Went inside for order and was directed to go to the bar. The guy( bartender)was throwing things and not acting normal. I noticed I was missing some of my items when I got to the car. I came back inside and let the host know what I was missing. She went to tell the bartender, and he literally was yelling at people asking for gracie (I believe that's who he yelled for i can't remember the name) there was blue liquid on floor and he wanted her to come clean it up. Idk if he was making drinks and doing a 1 for him & 1 for the customer because he was not acting accordingly. I stood there concerned about the situation. I thought maybe he was under some kind of influence because he was not acting right. I stood there with my mouth shut but very upset. He came back with my items and literally dropped it on the floor and had audacity to pick it up and give it to me off the floor. I didn't want to deal with it or him he just said, "Oh shit," and picked up what he dropped and handed it to me. I was appalled and in disbelief. I looked at him with a REALLY?? face 🤨 I took what was picked up from the floor and handed to me and left. I'm not the type to take something like that lightly. I also didn't want to go home with who knows what else if I had spoken up. He literally made me feel like I was in a scene of the movie Waiting. If you know you know! There was no management by the looks of it. The place looked so dirty, and that guy (bartender specifically ) was unprofessional. I was having second thoughts of ever going there. I won't be going there ever again!! This was April 10 2025 at...
Read moreFive stars for Applebees for never letting us down with their quality and quantity of food, drinks, appetizers, and desserts! My husband and I had sweet teas (could tell it was fresh), ribs (plenty of sauce & meat), salmon (perfectly cooked), salads (house ranch is always tasty), and also Buffalo wings (a great appetizer choice!). The atmosphere is always nice: Clean tables and bathrooms, jazzy but not too loud music playing, and the store set up/decor is warm and inviting. However, I do have to add about our subpar customer service. When we walked in, we weren't greeted. The hostess was arranging menus, never looked at us, and blandly said, "Two? Booth or table? Bar or dining room?". She did not acknowledge our answers verbally or physically and did not tell us to follow her; she just walked to our table. Once seated, she told us our waitress' name and left. It's never comfortable to be able to tell that someone's having an off day, and we are hindrances. I honestly don't know about our waitress. She wasn't smiling and friendly, but she wasn't rude. It was 5 minutes before the half off special, so we appreciated that she put in the discount for the wings. Only our teas were brought from the waitress, while the other items were served from a waiter. She did check on us for refills but forgot our wings. The delicious and on time food still outweighs the personable hiccups. Thank you to the chef and cooks! 5 stars with a little hint towards management to pep up the...
