This place from the get-go from walking in the front door was a good experience. We were greedy with a smile untreated gray with excellent service for the waitress. It smells so good walking through the door and made my mouth water. Then the fried green tomatoes and boudin balls came to the table "oh my goodness" they were so delicious I had to tell my mama to sit across from me on the table. Lol... 😂 Don't get me started on the chicken fried steak. My goodness it was perfect. I'm talking about from the seasoning the batter the tenderness the size is huge the mashed potatoes the gravy the okra all of it was stupendous. I forgot about the fried Green Beans. 🤤 I've never been here before till tonight. But I can promise you I'm going back. They have daily specials and huge portion. Next time I'm going for the barbecue 😁 And they have some homemade peach cobbler with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top of it that was to die for. Lol.. if you don't know about this place or haven't tried it before you're missing out and you need to get over there. And they have amazing pricing on their food I cannot believe the quality for the price and the quantity. For real what are you waiting for? This review is for breakfast only!!! This is the Texas roadhouse breakfast that you are dreaming of! We were immediately greeted by a friendly waitresses The place is classic, Americana, lots of local culture to take in...My husband went all in on the chicken fried steak with gravy. [ Which they say is the best in town! ] I just got a biscuit & hashbrowns because you can't always trust superlatives! 😅 But, as soon as I had a bite I had to order some for myself! Buscuits are made in house daily & they have actual honey! + the gravy was perfection! The iced tea was just 'aight, though! Saturday around 2pm ordered a brisket sandwich, chopped beef sandwich and 2 orders of onion rings + 2 peach cobblers. While I was waiting somebody came back with their takeout order to complain which really made me nervous. I had heard good things so I figured with people complaining mine would be good. When I got home i found my brisket sandwich contained meat that was at least 2 days off the pit, dry and crispy on the corners. The chopped beef did not contain anything that looked like brisket, just a brown mush saturated with sauce,. The much touted cobblers were lacking peach and were disappointing to say the least. The onion rings were the worst, just an assortment of burnt onion and batter, nothing resembling a ring. I will say the staff are friendly and the sauce was decent. With all the good BBQ resources in the area I won't be back...
